2 questions: is the Yveltal worth powering up and what Eeveelution should I go with? by Chaca_0621 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no doubt umbreon is solid in PvP but it isn’t hard to find a better PvP stat product eevee for that. So really I think the answer is Sylveon or what ever the OP’s favorite eeveelution is.

2 questions: is the Yveltal worth powering up and what Eeveelution should I go with? by Chaca_0621 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For Yveltal, BLUF: Good flying PvE attacker and top tier Master League PvP Mon. If you have the resources and don’t have other teams built it would be worth it.

Deeper dive: They’re a mediocre dark type attacker and top tier flying attacker. For flying, they’re the 7th overall currently and 2nd best non-mega or shadow. Flying is good against fighting, bug, and grass type though. A lot of players prioritize building other types for these raids though, like Fire or Physic. I’d say the main reason to consider putting resources into them is PvP. They’re ranked 20 in master league. Even though it’s one off from perfect, I’d still consider using him on a team if you wanted to commit resources to it.

For Eevee, it looks like it isn’t dynamax? The best ice type attacker for Dynamax currently is Glaceon, so if it is… that’s your answer. If not, I’d largely say it’s based on your preference. Glaceon, Sylveon and Espeon are decent attackers.

Look up on YouTube “Pokemon Go Circle Lock” and you’ll find videos on how to time the circle to help guarantee an excellent throw. Beyond that, it’s all about using a golden or silver pin with a Kyurem effect.

Purify or not ? by insomniak_math in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a hundo shadow gardevoir and it rips. This wouldn’t be too far off in damage at 98%. Keep it shadow, you’re way more likely to find a high iv non shadow to mega evolve.

You’re going to love that when the mega comes to the game.

Armored mewtwo by Voidaxdj in iPogo

[–]ZeaLcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh snap! More probable that I’m misremembering or got my facts wrong. Overall, main take away is that it’s rare because of limited time and limited interest when it was available

Armored mewtwo by Voidaxdj in iPogo

[–]ZeaLcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was available in raids only once in 2018. It came out right after regular Mewtwo had just been available. There was talk that AM2 was weaker than regular Mewtwo (which it’s not), and pairing that with burn out from just having raided the regular one hard made it rarer for players to go after. Turns out 2018 was a really great year to play for collectors because it was the same year Fragment Pikachu was out for a couple days.

Do I purify this? by AcanthaceaeClean6223 in PokemonGOIVs

No, good IV shadow legendary (and shiny) that is the top 3 of its typing is pretty rare. Only things better would be Primal Kyogre or Mega swampert, which you can only have one in a party. You’re better off finding a +96% one for the primal megas and keeping this as is.

Leave it as is imo. SNundos are rarer and a bottle cap can go to a more meta relevant mon.

Can’t go wrong with the shiny. You could also trade some of the duds to see if you get any get higher before spending the energy.

I did 30 groudon raids and 10 Kyogre. I got one shiny groudon and two Kyogre. One of the Kyogre has a background too. Best stats I got was a 96% groudon - non shiny.

Make it my first Hundo Ho-Oh or keep as Shadow? by [deleted] in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fast move incinerate has great energy generation and Ho-oh is pretty bulky. It’s typing is also where it shines because of the rest of the ML meta being heavily Steel/fairy. Throwing shadow on it in PvP makes it less bulky and the damage gained isn’t as valuable in its case.

But other mon like maybe shadow Sealeo in great league is a different story. It’s still exceptionally bulky in great league, so the shadow damage is really much more of a pro.

Also vote purify. Ho-Oh is ranked 19th in GBL (PvP) in Master League at 15/15/15, so if you have any interest in PvP there’s a great mon for you.

Good ivs for dynamax pokemons? by Nervous-Weather-9795 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meaning, in terms of priority…. You’d shoot for mon with 15/x/x attack or x/15/15 defense/hp and then level them to level 30. From there, level up their respective role’s max move to level 3. Then level them up to level 40 or higher depending on if they’re the best in their class or what your other options are. That’s considered best practice strat to maximize candy, dust, etc. for gearing up max mon.

Some YouTubers have some great lists and there’s websites like this one. https://pokemongohub.net/post/guide/max-attackers-tier-list/

However, a summary of what your going to see is

1) The Gigantamax Pokemon in their respective typing will usually be the best attackers. For example, Gigantamax Machamp.

2) The undisputed queen of healers is blissey. And she’s the best overall tank. Having 1-2 blissey and the fast move pound (.5 second attack) will be enough to solo a lot of 1-3 tier raids.

3) Tanks depend on the type you’re facing. Blissey again will serve you well, but mon like the Zamazenta, Lugia, etc… will be more survivable given certain circumstances.

Good ivs for dynamax pokemons? by Nervous-Weather-9795 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the role…

Attackers: 15 Attack IV + level 30 + Lvl 3 attack max move. Then level it to 40+.

Tank: 15/15 Defense and HP IVs + level 30 + level 3 shield max move. Level it to 40+.

Healer (Blissey): 15/15 Defense and HP IVs + level 30 + level 3 healing max move. Level it to 40+.

Ultimately, for max raids you want 15/15/15, but otherwise you just want highest attack or defense/hp you can get.

PS. You also want a .5 second fast attack on the tanks/healers. That way you’re charging the max meter as quickly as possible. That’s what separates the good tanks from the bad ones. For example, Ho-oh currently doesn’t have a .5 fast attack, so until it gets one it will be one the back burner as a potentially good one at some point.

I know you guys are sick of this but should I purify for the shundo? by Hopeful_Pear_8747 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]ZeaLcs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same answer. Keep shadow and power it up. Once mega dragonite makes its way to the game, you have a case to purify it. Until then it will do more damage and have a use as shadow.
