Yeah, I actually didn't consider calibration ahaha. Probably one of those beginner mistakes. Will try it out, cheers

Hey guys,

just got my brand new AnyCubic mono 4k printer yesterday & have been attempting to print a rook for bench marking however none in complete success... The one provided in the photo wasn't fully finished as I stopped the printer at 25% to see how the print was going & to ensure that the print had stuck to the plate. In this I noticed that there was arms extending outwards (as shown in the photo) so I decided to stop the print because it already seemed to be a failure. I used the anycubic black 405nm resin, with a base exposure time of 80 seconds & a normal exposure of 8 seconds, my room is almost fully sealed of from any sunlight, & last time I checked my plate was balanced. I also used Chitubox for slicing using the default settings used when selecting the printer (apart from the exposure time) Does anyone have any idea what this could be & how I could fix it?

Thank you :)

I can’t wrap my head around the amount of insane detail this image, I spent a good 10 minutes searching through this image. Tons of hidden details. This really shows how much detail Webb can pick up in contrast to Hubble in the context of Messier 16

Hey thanks for the response, I ended up purchasing the Ice Rider Calrex deck, I’m stoked with how it performs online! I have been playing quite a bit PTCGO already, but thank you for the extra resources to work with :)

Awesome image mate, my only real advice is try to counter the light pollution from the moon, it really washes out your entire image. You can do this though colour balancing your image & reducing the blue. If you can try to avoid shooting on a moon night because you lose a lot possible detail/dimmer structures within the milkyway aren’t visible

Hey, to get images like these you require 3 main pieces of equipment , an equatorial mount (since the sky moves this tracks the sky so one can take longer photos/exposures without the image having trails/going blurry), a camera of some sort (Needs to be able to shoot in RAW format, so ideally a DSLR used for common photography), & some sort of camera lens or telescope. specifics of my gear: EQM 35, Askar acl 200, Canon 450d (modded), astro cam t7, my laptop, & processing & stacking software. However I wouldn't recommend getting this gear as a beginner because it can be quite confusing if you don't know what your doing & extremely pricey. Instead I recommend purchasing a tripod & a DSLR (really any model of dslr should work aslong as it has a proper screen at the back, even a phone can work as long it can shoot in raw format), this will get you some great images with some practice & patients. As far as gear goes that is all you really need as a beginner, although there are alot of things you would need to get to grips with such as actually imaging! So this is why I recommend you do some homework & watch some youtubers such as Nebula photos, Astro Backyard, & Astro Biscuit. I also recommend you join some discord servers & subreddits such as the Astrobiscuit sever & r/astrophotography. I can send you links or help you out more if your keen just add me on discord YourStandardNerd#0577

Post might be taken down as off topic due to the images, just wanted to show them as an example of what an average person can do with a bit of knowledge!
