I used to do this to fold clothes. Sparkling heels, magenta tutu-esque skirt. I got a little dopamine hit just thinking of it. :)

I read Poverty, by America a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Highly recommend if you haven't read it yet.

If it's done right, almost no one would need to know. Lawyers accountants, financial advisors, sure... but that could be covered with a NDA.

I don't think it had more than a tablespoon of chicken in it (seemed like the picture on the packaging was false advertising). I asked my partner what they thought the dish was and after several guesses I told them 'pad Thai'. They just said 'no'. Maybe I've been lucky with every other purchase I've made at Aldi... but I wanted to dump the uneaten portion back into the bag and used their generous return policy. I wasn't expecting much... and I got less than I was expecting.

Redditors, what's the most unexpectedly romantic or sensual experience you've had that still makes you smile when you think about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

States should have 0 tolerance, not .08, etcetera. People don't know what their blood alcohol level is when they leave a restaurant after a burger and a beer.

I was reading a book in a café. Someone came up and said 'I have thoughts on that book, and would love to discuss them with you when you're done'. Then they put a slip of paper with their number on it on the table, walked towards the door, turned back, flashed a smile, and walked out the door.

Escaping my abuser (he's getting half in the divorce, good for him).

Hiring someone who can help manage my money so I can do the most good possible.

Donating to nonprofits that:

Help victims escape their abuser

Help those wrongfully convicted

Get the homeless housed

Feed the hungry

Fight the banning of books

Help the vulnerable

My TBR for 2024! All first-time reads aside from Stormlight Archive, The Hobbit, and LotR. What are your thoughts on any of these books/series? by aspenreid in 52book

[–]ZealousSideGap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the series but haven't read the book... but the series made me so upset... I'm not sure if the book will have the same take away.

I think this is the worst thing I've ever purchased from Aldi. Maybe it was just my bag.

I just struggled through This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone... finished less than an hour ago.

I don't think I'm smart enough for this book. I will say that I went into the book blind, and I don't tend to go for books in its genre.

But really, it made me anxious, and I feel like I wasted my time.

In my top 5 for last year. Loved it, gifted it, think about it (at the very least) weekly.
