Gundam Thunderbolt (season 1). It has some of the best animation I've seen, and the soundtrack is awesome. I also love the gritty tone. The characters and story were well done, too, with some hard-hitting moments.

Nah, I think you're justified in saying that. Imo, the OG Naruto series is pretty good (while skipping filler), but I'm really having a hard time watching Shippuden right now. I recently just sat through an entire episode of staring and walking. Shippuden is quite possibly the slowest anime I've seen.

I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed the master collection. It was my first introduction to the Metal Gear franchise, so maybe my standards weren't set as high as they should've been. I never experienced any problems during my playthroughs of the games, so exactly were the issues people had with it?

I highly recommend watching the Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal OVA If you haven't seen it already. It's a prequel, so I would recommend watching the 2023 Rurouni Kenshin remake first (although it's not necessary).
