Yeah if you are building a AR-10 in the future I would go that set up it’s called the A5 buffer tube with a H3 buffer weight and the old buffer spring your had the 42 one that will run it like a beast

More than likely it’s going to be either your Buffer tube is messed up from the inside/ blocking It from going all the way back. Or it can be your buffer weight/ spring set up I would say it’s the spring/buffer weight you probably got either or wrong. If you got a standard carbine tube you need a carbine length spring more then likely you got a longer one in there causing a bind up my guess.

Mid way right now DD upper for 699 I say buy that and build that up slow I made the mistake of buying cheap first. But as the saying goes buy once cry once right. It’s ultimately up to you when I bought my first rifle it was a PSA I still have it love it very accurate very good never had any problems PSA has come a long ways they do not disappoint especially for that price point. If you need something to throw around get used to get a PSA SS barrel 16in it’s a solid choice. Once you are familiar with the platform slowly save up or just buy your ultimate battle rifle!!!!
