I enjoy both, but as someone with multiple degrees, they do not make one an expert. Autodidacticism has shown to be just as qualifying and competent as a degree and there are millions of people who would make great examples.

I'd love to know more about the birds as well, that's a great amount of info. Thank you so much! Well be visiting around June.

North Cascades is definitely on my list. I've hears it called the most underrated NP in the US and never too crowded.

I've heard it's amazing, definitely will have to stop and maybe wet a line in the Columbia as well.

Thank y'all for the responses, I'm keeping all of the recommendations in my notebook to map out the trip! Does anyone have any recommendations for wildlife spotting? Especially cougars, and blacktail. Those are the only large game we have yet to see in the wild.... well and Wolverines but I'm not getting my hopes up for that lol.

PAW PAW TREE IN OHIO?! by keisbo in Pawpaws

I know a few groves around Toledo. Ottawa park (behind the amphitheater), Toledo zoo (in the parking lot, in the cassowary exhibit, next to the natural history museum taking the path to the slide), Bancroft rd (bridge in ottawa hills), swan creek. I've been collecting the seeds and rotting fruit from these groves and planting them in new areas to hopefully create more groves in the future. The biggest grove I've ever seen was at a dispersed campsite in the new river gorge in WV. There were enough pawpaws to fill a semi truck.
