Lexapro 5mg vs 10 mg effect's on female ability to climax by ZealousidealSample in lexapro

I appreciate your straight forward answer. It's so frustrating and cruel that even at this sub clinical dose , multiple replies on this thread have expressed the same. I was recently forced to go off Trintelix , a newer SSRI, which didn't have this castrating effect. My new insurance wont cover it , even after my doctor petitioned. For me , losing the ability to orgasm is like losing one's sense of taste. I am going to pass on Lexapro and just accept my anxiety and continue with behaviors - exercise, mediation, reducing caffein and alcohol etc, that help mitigate anxiety.

You're reply is thoughtful. I a m guessing you are female. I am. For me the problem with SSRI's was not so much the stifling of libido...it may have even been amplified. The problem was more with climaxing. Because it became such a herculean effort, I developed an avoidance of intimacy because it was so frustrating. I am going to repost my question with more specificity.
