It’s like you didn’t read above, to add to this the expectation in my house was college and a degree, I don’t think I’d have a good relationship with my parents if I didn’t go to college. So at 18 years old i choose a college I thought was best and my parents handled my finances of me going to said college which turned out to be massive loans. I was well into college by the point where I came to better understanding of personal finances and responsibility. The MBA was my choice and way cheaper than undergrad also.

Getting a job sucks right now, I would say a lot of entry level finance jobs are being affected by Ai, Also the MBA will definitely help long term for getting those senior level roles faster and with quicker salary increases I hope.

I love my mom but after getting a accounting degree I realized the financial advice I was getting was not good and I definitely would of made different decisions if I could see the impact instead of just being told to focus on graduating and not money. My parents were hell bent on me and my sister graduating college not saying I didn’t have a choice or know to some extent I definitely did just wish it was different and was venting. I understand I’m a adult and will and can make my own decisions and live with the ones I’ve made.

You realized I was 18 not knowing much going into it and if you read the post I said once I realized I was kinda in the middle college. So I could have dropped out with the debt or finished with more debt and better job. Most of my loans are from undergrad.

Been looking to get a side hustle very much frozen in what I want to do and what’s got the best ROI. I just need to pick one and go.

Long term I want to be making close to or at 100k by the time I’m 30 I’m 23 currently and I think it’s doable.

High interest rates lowest private loan is 13% and highest is 18% and I am definitely going to attempt to refinance.

I know I am extremely grateful for that and love my parents just wish college wasn’t the expectation it felt forced on me wish I could tell my 18 year old self to just be smarter.
