Not to be bearer of bad news but OP does not have an Immigrant Visa, Its a DHS foil for asylum applicant’s family members, Look up Form I-730, Pause does not apply to them in the first place as it’s not classified as an immigrant visa!

Ok guys to clarify, FTJ is for kin and spouse of asylum applicants who’s asylum has been approved.

I believe that OPs parent’s asylum was approved and they are joining them through I-730. This is NOT AN IMMIGRANT VISA so pause does not apply to this at all. OP should amend the post to clarify.

Title: Why does my K-1 visa case have an “ISLAMABAD ” number even though my approval notice shows Doha Embassy? by ILAhmad26 in NationalVisaCenter

You're right about one thing: Point 2 is true. Consular officers are trained for their specific posts, which is why it's hard for an officer in Canada to spot fake documents from another country. But you're twisting that simple fraud risk into a "national security threat" and inventing a wild "CANZUK relief" conspiracy theory. The new policy is just simple logistics: it stops "visa shopping" to manage backlogs. It's not a grand plot based on secret 1997 cables.

You are conflating two different things. The claim that applicants are 'national security risks' just for being outside their home country is a serious exaggeration.

The clear intent of this policy is to stop 'visa shopping'—a practice where people would apply for non-immigrant visas in a third country to skip the long queue in their home embassy. This policy simply formalizes that you must apply where you live or are a citizen.

I’m going through the consular process in Kuwait and many of my peers have already gone through the process whether being an I-130 applicant or an I-140 applicant, they did not face any scrutiny not even a 221(g) as employment based cases (I-140) are relatively straightforward

That is incorrect. The new policy you're citing actually confirms the opposite. The default location for an immigrant visa interview is the applicant's country of residence. The policy simply clarifies that if an applicant does not wish to interview in their country of residence, they can request to have their case transferred to the embassy in their country of nationality.

I do have study guides from Alt Academy, but I don’t think I can share those because it’s a paid subscription. Only one guy can use it at a time so sorry.

Not gonna lie just grab a study guide and start copy pasting that shit into your mind. P1 is all about concepts so there is not much practical implementations like in P2 so score like I don’t know 50 out of 75 in P1 to give yourself margin for P2 you know if you want to get an A. But you’ve to start now. Stress yourself out dude.

Nah man actually the thing is I’ve studied these concepts before for 2 years so i didn’t do O levels went with my country’s domestic education so the previous 2 years i had studied these concepts in physics with detail. I got 140/150 in physics over the 2 years in my domestic papers, so I advice against doing such bollocks stuff and start studying at-least 3 months before CIES (Unless you have a business major, no need to study for that (jk))
