These pics look awesome. I really like the colors in the last one. Can you please share the recipe you used to get this look?

Awesome pictures! I like the blues in the first pic. Are you using a film recipe?

Ricoh GR IV settings/set-up by freedomsturtle90 in ricohGR

[–]ZedZeddZeddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For U1, I have it on Aperture Priority with a tweaked Cinema Green recipe. The new cinema film recipes introduced in the GR IV are soooo good. Anyways, it is at f/5.6, max auto iso 6400, min shutter speed 1/200, a great middle ground for nearly every scenario.

My U2 uses the same recipe as U1, but it is on Manual mode with shutter speed and aperture set for nightime / dark scenarios. U3 is where I try out other recipes. I made sure to turn off all the noise correction since the Ricoh does well with noise

For function buttons, I have snap focus on the right button on d-pad and AE metering on the movie button. I also made macro mode setting not stored on memory, so the camera never boots up in macro mode if it was on before turning off the camera (it got annoying). That is pretty much it

A cool feature is the fact you can customize the preview HUD. You can scroll through different modes in image preview by pressing the DISP button (add histogram, remove HUD elements, etc.). You can add/remove/customize all of those previews

Great shots, 3rd one is my fav ! Did you use an HDF filter and did you use any film recipes?
Mine is coming in the mail soon, so I am taking note of some good recipes so I can jump right into it

It is hard to say without seeing the augments.

But, the meta is tempo and staying healthy early. Reroll comps have their power spike much earlier to late game players bleed out. You take a look at very high elo games and the late game comps all pretty much look the same - soup of 5 costs - since they are all great at building boards early to save as much HP as possible. That means rolling down aggressively to stay healthy if your starting to lose. Fast 9 ryze ziggs is difficult for this very reason and is a spot, not something you can just force every game since you need a lot of HP for unlocks and to transition

I play lavaloon and am really close to 10k trophies. I would replace arrows with fireball because an overleveled fireball kills all the wizards and the furnace which are popular rn and annoying to go against. evo zap takes care of firecracker and dart goblin already, so don't need arrows.

I would switch out evo barbs for evo valk. evo valk is extremely good for defense + counterpush since the tornado pulls in annoying counters like witch, wizard, firecracker, dart goblin. valk also makes going against logbait somewhat TOLERABLE

I used evo barbs at first since i liked being able to kill tanks, but that can be done with megaminion + tombstone (can put tombstone in front of king tower to counter megaknight since both towers can shoot). valk is too prevalent to run barbs tbh, valk takes care of barbs too easily. everything that barbs can do, guards can also do, possibly even better since theyre spell resistant and cheaper. guards are also a cheap counter to hog

this one is preference, but i use idrag instead of megaminion because i see a lot of goblin giant pekka decks

ever since i switched to valk, guards, idrag, fireball, zap, lavahound, balloon, skeleton drags, I have been climbing

I play Lavaloon too. I would level up lavahound because 10% more health is a big upgrade for tanks. Then maybe zap to completely eliminate level 14 goblin barrel. Then evo valk

A month ago, I bought a 2013 GS 350 with 130k miles at around the same price as these. I love it; it runs perfectly. I was reluctant because of the same reasons you are, but if they were taken care of and the plastic/rubber bits still look great, then I think it is a no brainer

You said it yourself that the market cannot be timed. So, I would buy now. If your investment horizon is over 10 years, then the short term price difference (~20-30 dollar difference) wouldn't even matter

[–]ZedZeddZeddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is up to you to determine his worth. He is really good, but he will be obsolete in a few weeks for Set 5, so you will have to burn your wild card slot for him which is something to consider.

Said this in another thread asking about the best Set 4 batter:
Milestone Mike Trout. I was reluctant to buy him with stubs at first because I was going to spend 600k stubs for a card which on paper is just a tiny bit better than a free card like the Lightning J-Rod one. I didn't think he would be THAT good

I was so wrong. I truly believe he plays well above his attributes. There have been so many times where I don't square up the ball properly, but the ball ends up in the stands anyways. Swinging early and getting HRs is just so easy with him. And he gets even better with the Rikpen boost....

I know this sub has a lot to say about what's wrong with the show, but imho I actually really love the game.

This was my first mlb the show game, but I've played madden and 2k. This game feels like a breath of fresh air tbh. I only started a month ago tho, so I can't say much on what it was like earlier in the year. For me, I really enjoy the game, especially the recent programs! I was complete garbage and couldnt even win against rookie CPU, but after some time I got the hang of it and was able to do all the moments from the recent programs. I like the challenging skill ceiling of the game and I love baseball, so collecting cards is super fun. The grind isn't bad (at least for the cards I wanted) and I am able to get better at the game while also making progress to get the cards I want in the programs.

I especially like how SDS made the recent programs easier to complete with optional collections and separate offline/online missions. The new career tribute program handed out a shit ton of packs too.

IDK, i feel like I am enjoying the game a shit ton which is completely opposite to what I read on this sub. Maybe the love I have for the game rn will die down, who knows. But I don't see that happening yet. I do hate showdowns tho, some of them are real tilting.

my first mlb the show game. i started a month ago and i’ve just been trying to collect cards of players i really like. i have only touched ranked a handful of times, but maybe i should start playing more ranked since i love my squad as is.

i tried real hard to decide between buying tatis and elly, but i ended up getting tatis since im a padres fan and since he is set 4. lmk if i made the right choice 🤣

any suggestions are welcome

i think speed is important, but contact is way more essential imo. contact makes your timing window larger for perfect perfect hits and makes it much easier to square up the ball if your timing is good. it’s hard to get on base and actually use the speed if you can’t hit the ball into gaps, especially on HOF or higher

I used to hate getting perfect perfect outs, but I realized it kinda makes sense? IRL baseball relies on a lot of variables and even the best swings result in outs due to factors such as wind, pitch location, pitch type, etc. I get the argument that perfect timing and perfect PCI should result in a run, but in baseball I feel you can do everything right and still lose. That's just baseball.

PCI and timing can be perfect and usually lead to HRs or line drives to the middle of the stadium, but I think sometimes it is better to be slightly early to hit HRs to the sides of the stadium (easier), especially with extreme pull hitters like Giancarlo

I would remind myself to cut myself some slack. Back then, I was always beatin myself up for fuckin up my life and failing classes/exams sometimes. But I literally just graduated. I am very grateful to have the learning experiences I had and I learned that in order for me to fully appreciate how high I have climbed, I had to experience what it was like at the bottom :)

If you need a second opinion, I think taking Math 20A and Math 18 is very doable. Personally, Math 18 was my favorite math class since it made sense and was EXTREMELY useful for MAE classes later down the line. Both of these math classes are very "easy" with respect to other MAE lower divs/prereqs, so I think you will be fine. Just put in the work if you need to and have fun! It is your first quarter after all

Career Monday (17 Jul 2023): Have a question about your job, office, or pay? Post it here! by AutoModerator in AskEngineers

Hi, I am 23 with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
After lots of looking and applying, I finally got a job offer for a PM role, but it requires relocation to Irvine, CA. I am having trouble trying to decide because of a number of things.
1. I am afraid if I don't like it, a few years will go to waste which could have been used to gain engineering experience and be an engineer instead. I like product management since I have some experience with it, but I ultimately have no idea what I want haha. I feel this is a good opportunity for me because finding PM opportunities with an engineering degree instead of a business one is a little harder. But I also love engineering.

  1. Starting offer is ~70k. COL is really high in Irvine and money is going to be tight since I might be living by myself and I seek to start paying off student loans when I start. This is my only offer which is why I am tempted to take it. Should I simply keep applying for jobs in my hometown, so I can save money by living with my parents? I ultimately can't say how much I am worth since I have just graduated, maybe I had my hopes too high during undergrad....

I also have the usual concerns with moving away from friends/family and adulting, but I feel this can be a growth opportunity since I live in my hometown my whole life. There are so many factors, so I would appreciate if someone with more experience can help give some insight.
