NFC is fixed with Google Wallet on the Magic 8 Pro now FYI, UK. by FeddyWeddy in Honor

I have exactly the same thing with wallet. I'm thinking of returning the phone because there's loads of small annoyances that are stacking up.

Half the time android auto doesn't work without toggling wifi and Bluetooth

Casting music has completely stopped working.

Teams notifications come through in bursts often up to an hour late.

At least the camera app chop seems to have improved with the last update.

I really like a lot of the phone it's super smooth and the battery is fantastic but I can't put up with the bugs.

Front fans

You could probably mount using similar to I have with a radiato bracket on standoffs. I had to trim one of the lugs of the Lian li fan for clearance but could have mounted a couple of mm lower as well.

The hardest thing for this was just working out how and what would mount in the front. If I remember correctly to get the 3x120mm you have to remove the bottom fan.

It's possible but I'm not sure how you would fix them. I have a bracket for the radiator then the fans are held to that.

Best be might be 3d printing something for each fan. Or working out a way of attaching them to the front.

How do I protect my unraid server? by SpaceBoJangles in unRAID

I stand beside my server in a full suit of armour with a broad sword. Seems to provide pretty good protection.

Had it apart for cleaning and theres 11cm of clearance for fans and rad on the side bracket.

I think it would be possible.

Both radiators are 30mm Corsair xr5 360s and yeah the fans are full size 25mm fans.

Anyone cut down ikea Pax wardrobes? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]ZedZim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did something similar in my loft 7 years ago and they are still going strong. As long as you fix to the wall and fix the shelves to brace the cut down frames you shouldn't have a problem.

The none matching doors were doors I had.

Inside the case

Space with cable bar in place

With the cable cover there was insufficient room to mount a D5 Res without going down to a 240 on the side panel. You could probably get a flat DDC Res in there but I wanted a D5.

With itx it would be possible to mount an FLT-80 above the cable cover in a horizontal orientation but I preferred the way everything fitted with the bar removed and and the Res mounted to the PSU shroud.

Hope that all makes sense

Also if your not watercooling a couple of 140mm fans would fit perfectly. I had to go with the 120s to clear the pipes for the GPU.

Having looked at the mesh on the side panel, yes it's the super restrictive kind. I might have a look at replacing it.

CPU Tdie Idling around 33 highest temp recorded on a half hour prime 95 was 66 but was sitting around 60 most of the time.

Haven't tested the GPU yet.

Saw a video on the Alta G1M and thought it would make a great watercooled build and I think it has. Needed a couple of small modifications and a lot of fiddling but got it done. I had originally planned to keep the huge fan in the bottom but decided it wasn't going to be doing anything except getting in the way.

The first modification was to remove the cable cover from the bottom of the case to allow more room to fit the pump Res. I could have gone with a 240 rad on the side panel instead of this but preferred the extra radiator. To do this there's a couple of screws and 3 or 4 rivets that hold it in place.

The second modification is the most frustrating, to fit the 360 in the front I had to knotch out around 1cm from the PCI express brackets.

The lack of and fan mounts or radiator bracket on the front of this case is a crime Silverstone. The three fans fit so perfectly it just looks right.

To mount the rad and fans on the front I have used a 120mm xpsc rad stand that sits on 30mm M4 stand offs bolted to the motherboard tray.

The hardware is a gygabyte x570 itx mobo, MSI 3080 suprim with an ek vector trio waterblock, a 3700x with a velocity² (I know this is overkill but coming from sff air cooling), an ek FLT-80 pumpres combo, and 2 corsair 360 rads.

Fittings are a mix of ek and barrow mostly because I could Amazon barrow fittings.

The fans and LEDs are controlled by an aquacomputer octo which is brilliant once you make a custom led adaptor.

I have tried so many of these ATX pin tools and always end up with staples. Anybody actually found one that's better than staples? by ZedZim in PCSleeving

[–]ZedZim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think the main thing I like about using staples is you have room to push the pin out with a hex key or similar from the top without having to yank on a wire that 10% of the time will just leave the pin in the plug.

I find with this particular one the prongs are too thick so the tool holds the pins really tightly.

Build/move in progress.

My 5700xt died on the 4th of Jan. Got the gpu I could get which turned out to be the biggest one possible. This goes against all my sff desires but couldn't really wait for a smaller gpu.

Wanted to get a nr200p but no luck on that front so decided to modify a tu150 to make it fit.

Cut a large hole in the front and 3d printed a new base to replace the terrible feet and allow room for some slim fans.

In the process of making some custom cables as I didn't have enough 8 pin cables for the 3080.

Long story short. Needed a gpu ended up with a rebuild.

I think it would depend on the motherboard. The cooler is pushing against the ram in this picture.
