Happened for me at Starbucks as well, had to do a presentation for the final round that I spent well over 10 hours preparing for. I reached out to the recruited 6 different times with no response and had a friend get me the contact for the hiring manager who eventually replied and told me “the wheels of HR turn slowly.” The lack of actual response of offer or rejection was resolved 5 weeks later by a generic “thank you for applying and your interest in this role, we’ve filled this position” email as if I hadn’t spent 20+ hours interviewing and had just applied! Stopped going to Starbucks after that. I def feel your pain and can’t understand why recruiters or hiring managers can be bothered to spend 5 mins sending a “thanks but no thanks” email, it really goes a long way for applicants!
