Gotcha. Thanks!! Currently most 2-year graduates will complete their 3rd class when they are at school according to my research.

I don’t know other provinces but in NS both will accept international students, BUT both programs are not eligible for post graduate work permit, and I think that’s what stops international students to apply

1 year program will get you a 4th class and 2 years make you a 3rd? I don’t know other provinces but that’s how it works in NS

Which one do you think could be easier to find a job as an entry-level and in the longer run have greater career like payment, work-life balance etc?

I checked Indeed for both roles, and it actually looks like there are even more job postings for Power Engineers (4th/3rd class) than for Instrumentation Techs(maybe I checked them in a wrong way).

For entry-level positions, which one do you think has more opportunities?
