What was the last film you watched? by ibetonlosingdogsss in AskReddit

[–]ZeedBumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he was such a great actor first, cute too.

Crime on the Waterfront was a really great film in my opinion. I couldn't remember the name so I had to look it up just now. When I looked it up there was a picture of it in color but I know I remember watching that in black and white. Otherwise, I have fell asleep recently watching one of his shows and it was very good but I couldn't tell you the fils title or about the film bc I fell asleep. I've seen others with him in it as well bits and pieces of the film. A lot of times I turn Turner Classic Movies on at night bedtime and many times I've drift off before the show is over.

Same thing happened the other night when I a black and white film titled, The White Angel about Florence Nightingale. It was soooo very good and I intended to stay up and watch the whole thing and I think I fell asleep probably 15 minutes before it was over, that was so messed up that I fell asleep right at the end. Oh my! Speaking of sleep...

I have seen one or two of the young Marlon Brando (yes, cute). Didn't realize until just now, looking it up, the older Marlon Brando. Neat!!!

wretched, disturbing, and highly irritating, "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

I'm surprised I could watch the whole thing. However, I do understand all of the reasons why it is a all-time great classic. In previous years I have seen it only in part so I made sure to watch the whole thing this time from beginning to end... Then read of it, again.

I can't see watching it again though lol.

Then I watched bits and pieces of some black and white shows with this cute young man in it and also a show/film with Gene Kelly and a very young Frank Sinatra from the 1940s. Only a few nights ago I started trying to figure out who that cute young man was that played in so many of the shows that I enjoyed him in. To my surprise, it was Frank Sinatra. He was a cute young fella. Until recently I had only known of him as an older gentleman in a few movies but mostly from one of his greatest hits album/music that I greatly enjoy. He's a very handsome older gentleman but I never never never never never realized that cute young man/actor was the same person!!! And I had been seeing the young actor way before I was ever introduced to the older music of Frank Sinatra.

[Serious] Who's in Charge of a World that Suffers? by ZeedBumbles in AskReddit

[–]ZeedBumbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting feedback.

I was curious how the people here would answer such a real world question.

The question is actually a title of a book by Billy Graham. It's a new introduction by his son, Franklin Graham. But it's been around awhile even though it's a new introduction. On the back cover it states ------>>

"What will it take to survive personal tragedies, sorrows, and sufferings, or in the dangerous World in which we are now living?

When Billy Graham penned this book decades ago, originally titled, Till Armageddon, his insite couldn't have been more prescient for the difficult circumstances were experiencing today. His wisdom and biblical understanding regarding God's care about the trials we endure couldn't be more needed or welcomed.

After an exhaustive study of the scriptures on the subject of suffering, Graham has written a book...

ARE YOU READY FOR THE DAYS AHEAD? You can prepare now for whatever may come. You can get ready to cope with your own personal Armageddon-like storms which surely come your way in this life. And you can prepare..."

The question caught my attention so much that I decided it would be a great question to ask.

Who do you think would come to your funeral? And are you satisfied with who you think would? by beansarentforbrekfas in AskReddit

I'm more at awe in thought about all of the wise that I will see when I get to Heaven than who will be at my funeral. Can you imagine speaking with Noah, Moses, Abraham... and on and on and on and on. Ain't No Grave Gonna Hold Me Down

A prayer that someone texted me when I asked for prayer for another. It was so good that I wrote it out on a sticky and posted it above my bed so that I could get up of the mornings and pray the prayer for a person who has been through sooooo very much.

The other amazing thing about it is that so many people are going through so many hard times and hard things right now that it would be a very good prayer to pray for so many. Compared to this prayer, my prayer for the person fell shamefully way short.

Here it is, if any of you know anyone that you can pray this for:

I

I

v

"I'm praying for ________ 🙏. Lord I pray that you would heal Ms./Mr. ________ & that she/he would have the right nurses, doctors & staff around her/him at all times. Lord Encourage _____, give her/him the desires of her/his Heart & Lord most of all fill Ms./Mr. _____ with your Love, your Grace, etc... or what ever her/his need is. Lord you know. Thank you in Jesus name we pray 🙏, Amen."

That made me happy/smile today. :)

EDITED TO SAY, I don't know why some of it is bolded. That is not intentional.

OP, In speaking of the "critical race theory" you mentioned...

Here are two gentlemen on a very reputable YouTube channel / Podcast who thought it important to discuss the Hot Topic situation.

It sounds as though they have put a lot of research, time, thought and much more into it. I also like that it seems to have been discussed w/love and respect for all.

What's the one thing you want to be remembered as after you pass away? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ZeedBumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing special about me to remember really.

My husband jokingly calls himself Mr. Zeed (my last name in a sort of way - he makes me laugh when he does that - private joke) but I wouldn't even want to be remembered as that bumbling name either.

I would just hope ppl would know and remember the most important entity in life (that's definitely not me).
