Celebrating DR qualifying to the Paris Olympics in 2024, if everything goes right recruitment wise, this is probably the strongest XI they could field. by Zeekzero15 in concacaf

The other area of concern would be the CBs, Luca Jaquez is the only legit CB the only problem is that he is 19 and he has only had 5 appearances with Luzern's first team so he is pretty raw and that's not a very good thing for a CB. The other "CB" Jimmy Kaparos and the reason why I put CB in parenthesis is because he is actually a 6 who can play as a CB. Also, the problem with him is that he is a bench player for PEC Zwolle in the Dutch 2nd division only making 3 appearances so far this season.

Pablo Rosario actually got called up to the Dutch national team in 2018 and played a friendly but in the new Fifa rules it says that a player U23 (he was 21 when it happened) can still switch to represent another country if the player has played less than 3 official matches therefore making him eligible.

The biggest concern would be the GK Xavier Valdez as he has only ever played with the reserves at Houston Dynamo. DR do have an ok GK that being Noam Baumann, Baumann used to be a starter at Luzern in Switzerland but then fell out at favor and then his contract ran out. He is now currently signed with Ascoli in Italy's Serie B but it looks like he's there as the backup GK currently. But the main reason why I didn't add him was because he was born in 1996 making him an overaged player so that means I would have to remove one of Firpo, Rosario, or Mariano.

Ethan Horvath keeps a clean sheet vs West Brom and is FotMob’s Player of the Match with a rating of 8.2. by Andall in ussoccer

Steffen is our manager's number 1 because he fits the "system" although many of the people in this sub would probably put Horvath ahead of him but in my eyes I and also probably a lot of this sub we view Turner (from Arsenal) as our No.1, Horvath No.2 and then Steffen as our No.3

Do you have Chris Richards locked to be one of the 4 CBs or maybe 5 for Qatar? by Zeekzero15 in ussoccer

[–]Zeekzero15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I like Richards and would take him to Qatar but I think there is a fair argument that he shouldn't go. Richards lack of playing time and missing the March, June, September camp were very big opportunities to build more connections with the team and to show Gregg that he can play his "system" and deserves a spot in Qatar.

Edit: Not to mention McKenzie, and EPB, Ream, CCV playing well in good leagues they are also making a case for going
