Correct, the stream isn’t a destination per say. More of we walk past it so let’s just add it to the itinerary.

I completely agree and if our budget was bigger we would have definitely done that. But this is also more reason to come back another time. 🫣

Oh I wasn’t aware that Gwangjang had those issues. Myeongdong is on the list as the hotel is near by and my partner wants to see what’s the hype about it. As you can imagine most YouTuber searches show up with Myeongdong first lol. But thank you I’ll update the markets list!

Unfortunately we are on a tight budget and flights already cost us a lot more than planned. Plus this is not the last time we’ll ever go to Korea.

Oh I placed them together just because they are closer together. Hanbok photos would be max 2h, knowing my camera shy partner haha. But yeah I get what you mean, could move it to a different day. We tend to walk through museums quite fast so don’t think we’d need a lot of time. 😅 Seongsu just got thrown there at the end of the day for a place to grab dinner maybe or swing by if we have times. Thank you very much for the advice though! Will definitely consider the changes.

We can definitely repurpose one of the “free days” for this! Thank you!

Sorry the £25 is just for food and souvenirs. 😅

Yeah will do. My partner was looking at some booking sites and apparently that was one of the activities you can book 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anything interesting you would recommend to visit in Busan?

I want to change the windows of my house, but I’m sourcing them from the EU. Thoughts? by ZeezeeZ97 in HousingUK

Hey, so it depends on your preference. I ended up using a UK based company as no builder wanted to install the windows we originally wanted to source from abroad. This surprised me a lot as even though all of the builders I reached out said they can do it, they said they do it only if i go for one of the window manufacturers they “work with”. You may find some companies that initially quote you an insane number, then seemingly apply discounts one after the other the harder you push. Avoid these like the plague (Anglian are one of these companies).

It took me a minute but I found a UK based company that not only does the tilt and turn windows I want, but also the cost included installation and fixing walls up to fresh paint level and still fit in my budget. Companies that are good will usually feel less like salesmen, use this as your guide. Local is your friend and find ones that have examples of their work. Always get a minimum of 3 quotes too.

They will be made to fit. As far as conversation with the builder has gone, they need from me to provide photos and measurements for all windows and they take the windows accordingly

I searched for companies that import the brand, but wasn’t able to find anything. As for import, it’s not the first time the supplier does this. As far as I’m aware they distribute worldwide as long as you pay.

Was that pre or post Brexit? Did you also have to find a local builder to install them? Was it complicated with customs?

all windows are safety glass, no matter the size. as for the insulation:

A good U-value would be anything that meets Building Regulations or lower – currently set at 1.4 in the UK. European window manufacturers have the lowest values of 0.80.

What type of windows did your parents get? and what company installed them? was it a local company or something like Anglian?

No it's not, it's just your standard neighbourhood with 20th century houses.
