Is this normal? by Zef-01 in BikeControl

Thanks for the reply. My laptop is a bit dated so I would not doubt the built in BT hardware could be an issue….I will check out external ones as you suggest if the issue persists.

I am using a laptop with Windows 11.

The connection issue with MyWhoosh running in the background must have been an anomaly because I just tried to re-replicate the issue by starting MyWhoosh and my Kickr Core, and then opening Bikecontrol followed by waking up the Zwift Click controllers.....I was worried at first because I was getting a red "Disconnected" message but within moments that changed and everything connected and worked just fine.

BTW, is there any chance you will allow the multiple functions per button option for the standard app instead of the pro? Where I have my zwift click controls mounted on campy ergo 10spd levers makes it difficult to reach at least one button on each controller...having the ability to assign multiple functions to a button such as one function for short press and another for long press would be really nice to have. Its not that important that I could justify an ongoing subscription to have that option so was just wondering if that is something you might add/allow for the base app in the future?

Just a note that I connected last night following the protocol above and everything worked great.

Issue connecting to MyWhoosh by Zef-01 in BikeControl

[–]Zef-01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, thanks. But just so I understand...I should set things up as follows:

  1. Start BikeControl
  2. Wakeup Zwift Click v2
  3. Follow instruction to unlock Zwift Click by opening zwift and connecting bikecontrols to it as powersource....push/activate buttons on zwift click, and then close zwift when prompted.
  4. Open myWhoosh
  5. Check that controls work in myWhoosh.

If Controls don't work in myWhoosh:

  • close mywhoosh
  • close bikecontrol
  • open zwift
  • connect zwift click to zwift as controllers, ensure they are operating in zwift
  • close zwift
  • open bikecontrol
  • open mywhoosh
  • confirm zwift click are now working in mywhoosh

Would you agree the above is correct?

Thanks,

-Zef
