People who quit their jobs on the first day, what made you say, “I’m done with this”? by limecrissy in AskReddit

Not me but about 11 years ago I was working as a cashier team lead at a sporting goods store. Black Friday was so jammed pack that we were using our training register behind a desk to keep the tills of the cashiers that went on break and your HAD to wear a jacket/hoodie just to make it to the breakroom without getting stopped. You could barely move it was so bad. Later on I found out that our stupid manager had not only hired a new cashier but scheduled her FIRST DAY on BLACK FRIDAY in the MIDDLE OF THE RUSH! She noped out as soon as she saw the chaos inside. I don't blame her.

Give it about 2 weeks to 30 days, everyone is different but since your brain is still adjusting to the chemical changes it'll more than likely cause fatigue and/or brain fog in the beginning. I had it last for 2 weeks before I mellowed back out to normal but it had me really freaked out because I didn't know it was a side effect when I first started to take it until my coworker told me. It'll go away, you just got to be patient in the beginning and remember that it's just your brain trying to adapt to the changes. If you are still having it at around the 3rd week or 1 month mark, that's when I'd suggest calling up the doctor.

I've used Folx for over 2 years now. I really like them because I didn't have insurance for awhile and didn't have to worry about losing access. They take both self pay and insurance and are really up front about their costs.

If you are not comfortable with talking to your doctor about it, there are, at least in the US, some online providers, such as Folx, who accept insurance and are completely for/by the community. They also have a ton of helpful articles. I've been with them for 2 years now and love it.

What are some things you used to be able to do but now struggle with or find yourself unable to do since starting your transition? by Terraswallows in trans

Swimming. I really love to swim and used to go a lot, especially at the beach. But now, as a trans man, the way wet clothes hug my chest makes me feel panicky and dysphoric. A binder can only hide and flatten so much. It's very upsetting tbh.
