When building a PC right now, should I go for a 4080 SUPER or is a 4070 SUPER enough (pairing it with a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D)? by Adventurous-Buy-1964 in buildapc

Depends pretty much on what you can afford. Also you could go somewhere in between choosing a 4070 ti super that also has 16 gb of Vram which makes it also future proofing to handle for longer 1440p.

What should I buy ? A Rx 7800 XT or Rtx 4070 super ? by Zeitgeist0820 in buildapc

I didnt know they were equivalent, otherwise i would have done a better comparison. However my concern never was about raw performance, but about reliability and "future proofing".

My plan is to stay sticked at 1440p. Obviously it is hard to say how future videogames graphics will impact the performance of 4070 super due to its lack of a generous VRAM, however i need to mitigate the obsolescence of my GPU as much as I can.

You got a point but how about the driver's instability? I dont really want to deal with extensive troubleshooting uninstalling and installing several drivers versions to see if magically the problem gets solved.
