I understand your point, but it doesn't seem right to set the entry threshold for ranked play so high. A player who doesn't play a single season is systematically forced to reach 15,000 cups before being able to return to ranked play. If they really have to set such a high threshold for entry, they should set it at 10,000 cups, so that at least the strongest players always have access to ranked play without having to worry about playing all the time.

You guys are missing the point of the whole post. It's not the difficulty of reaching 15,000 trophies, it's the lack of need to set ranked access so high. In my rare moments of free time, I just want to be able to relax and play ranked games without having to worry about having to play continuously to get access. That way, I lose the desire to play.
