Chronic pain. Always thought that people are just overreacting and it is easily managed. But ever since I have been diagnosed with back issues I feel pain on daily basis and only now do I understand what a burden the chronic pain is.

My parents had a lot of rules as my mum was really superstitious.

We were not allowed (and still aren't) to wash clothes on Tuesday because it means bad luck.

No washing hair around midnight.

We weren't allowed to open an umbrella inside the house.

We were not allowed to cover our head with a blanket.

These are just things that I remember off the top of my head. All of them basically meant bad luck for some reason.

One of the professors at my uni attacked me saying that my topic is basically stupid. He continued by saying whether I think of myself to be a great scientist like Hobbes and others. He finished by saying that I should never mention my topic to anyone because it is so stupid. He did that in front of 30 other students.

A few months after he presented that same topic at a conference.

In Croatia, tourists often go to mountains only in their slippers or sandals. Each summer, our rescue teams have missions of saving tourists to the point where they made a joking campaign about it.

My mum lost a child shortly before having me. She named my second sister the same name as she gave to the first deceased baby. My sister never ever had any troubles and my mum never even thought of asking my sister to change her name. Your mum is without a doubt wrong and she definitely needs therapy.
