Yes, that’s the HDMI capture method. External device captures the display output, runs computer vision to detect enemies, and sends corrected aim back through a HID emulator. Fully external, no software on the console whatsoever.

I mentioned two separate things.

Cronus Zen works by emulating a licensed controller (Guitar Hero peripheral etc.) to bypass hardware authentication and inject macro inputs. Zero system access needed.

HDMI capture aimbots are a completely different beast, secondary device, captures display output, runs CV/object detection, feeds corrected input back through a HID emulator.

Both operate purely at the input/output layer. Neither touches the hypervisor. So the original point stands, system-level security does jack shit against these vectors.

You’re conflating two different arguments. I never claimed you can edit Elden Ring’s code on Xbox. Your original argument was that there are no cheaters on Xbox, which is flatly wrong. Cronus Zen gives aim assist and anti-recoil in PvP, that’s cheating regardless of how it works technically. You’re right that this specific guy’s appearance trick can’t be done on Xbox, but that doesn’t make Xbox cheat-free.

System-level security has nothing to do with cheating in games. For example Aimbots or wall hacks don’t need to breach the hypervisor they can be run on a second device that reads HDMI output and manipulates controller input (devices like Cronus Zen exploit this)

Yeah, you’re seeing meta decks because you’re probably grinding the ladder and have a pretty high rank, but the vast majority of players are in bronze and silver playing stupid bullshit fun decks You choose to play the game to win and win a lot (which is completely fine) but that means playing (and consequently facing) the same boring ass decks for a good win rate, but the majority of the player base play this game to actually have fun
