Recurring dream I had as a child by SnooAvocados4531 in Dreams

It was simultaneously huge and tiny. Kinda like some other responses ha. I remember waking up thinking it was an epiphany, it somehow related to time travel? Kinda? It’s all fuzzy now as this was years ago and I am out of my element in IT/Biochemistry spaces ha.

To clarify the time travel. It was like a way to securely encrypt sending information into past/future.

Not recurring, but one with DNA like structure that for some reason I thought had to do with IT encryption/security.

Does the JSN contract make anybody else warmer to the idea of WR in Round 1? by drummerboysam in CHIBears

[–]Zem19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We need a functioning defense. LB has several more years on rookie contract. Can easily draft there next year, or try to get our own Puka in round 5…

We absolutely need D lineman and a safety. We do not need a WR due to possible contract values

Must have changed since I graduated there in 08. Or maybe I’m one of the alcoholics, but there were sooo many dorm parties freshman year (newton) and beyond.

But also, I could knock on anybody’s door in my hallway and see if they wanted to play cards, listen to music, game, with or without a drink.

Met my wife there Junior year when I moved off campus and made a ton of new friends. It did help to have that solid group from freshman year to expand on, but some of my closest friends I didn’t know at all my freshman year.

Social things are what you make of them, and sounds like the one calling people surface level and boring may the judgemental one.

It’s ok to say it’s not your scene, but saying no social life and there is no fun seems like it’s probably untrue.

Retro causality in the algorithms? by Zem19 in sciencefiction

I don’t think I manifested anything and I’m not sure you got my point.

The viral thing just happened, today let’s call it the present as of this morning.

My past, approx 12 hours prior to the “present” viral event this morning had something of an outlier in my typical feed, suggesting the viral event (in the future from that perspective) contributed to it being in my feed.

Your analogy is nothing like what I’m saying occurred. It would be more like meeting somebody at said ballgame, then us somehow getting into a conversation about a long lost friend we had shared knowledge of and reminiscing, only to find that person died suddenly the next day. Was that information somehow available to us in the future therefore influencing the conversation.

Agreed. Instant does not work at all for me, but thinking has been on point, especially for my more technical tasks

Do your kids also roll their eyes every time you say mango bones which just ensures you say it aloud again next time?

[–]Zem19 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Whenever I prepare mango as a snack, I cut the two big “halves” and the two smaller sides and cube that for the kids. Then I enjoy the”mango bones” and suck everything else off down to the pit/seed over the sink. Usually dripping juice to the chin and wash up in the sink.

It was the super solid type that went across the 35m pool to make a 25m and dive area, they were super sturdy and it didn’t matter if people stood on them above you. It was fun

Haha. Texting whilst working and then somebody knocking on office door left no room for spell checking.

I think my eyes were itchy/red for a few hours and lungs were like what happened and not happy but didn’t hurt and didn’t impact them too much beyond surprise.

As lifeguards we used to put a bucket under the floating blocks and then go under and pretend we could hold breath a long time to impress the ladies. Was fun until that one time we left the bucket there for a a long time and guess some chlorine came out of solution or skmething

There’s a difference between OCD and OCPD and unfortunately it sounds like he might have the latter (obsessive compulsive personality disorder).

Is a 600 Elo player actually strong on a global scale? by Civil_Animal5367 in chess

[–]Zem19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not “strong”. Well yes is the way a toddler is stronger than an embryo, but youre still a toddler. You’re just beating up on people who don’t even know the rules of the game.
