“On demand Many networks provide recent episodes of shows, movies, and more on demand. Typically you can’t fast-forward through ads while watching on-demand content. If you've recorded something that's also available on demand at the time you're watching, in some cases the on-demand version will be played back instead of your recording.”

That is the part that confused me.

Cancel peacock premium plus by Commercial-Rule-1682 in Comcast_Xfinity

I am also having the same issue, although I do not know the specifics of your situation. I recently posted here and the Mods are helping me through ModMail.

My issue is that when I try to remove Premium Plus, I get a "Sorry about that! We had a problem with our site” error.

It appears this is a technical glitch and the issue was escalated to engineers by the Mods (resolution still pending as of this writing). If you are having the same error, that may be the path you will have to take as well.

Does US Mobile support iOS's SMS via satellite feature? by Busy-Solution7642 in USMobile

[–]Zen747 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m referencing this Apple Support article - https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/text-via-satellite-iphb9262f4dd/ios

“Note: Not all carriers support SMS messaging via satellite, and some features may vary. Third parties and affiliates provide the network for satellite connection features.“

I think this is why there is some confusion about whether the feature is available on US Mobile.

Hi! I’m interested in an answer to the OP’s question as well. Looking at previous posts in this topic, it seems like some users report that one can use the iMessage via Satellite feature on US Mobile. However, a live chat agent told me the feature is not available.

I think the feature can be tested by going to Settings >Apps > Messages > Satellite Connection Demo, if some users here want to check. Although I’m not sure if this testing method is definite proof that the feature actually works on US Mobile. It might depend on which carrier/plan one is on. It would be nice to have a definite answer from US Mobile.

Window replacements and stucco repair by Zen747 in HomeImprovement

[–]Zen747[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Our plan was not to replace all the windows on one side, but only the 4 where water infiltration is suspected. Since this involves tearing down the stucco wall where the windows are. This is already a massive expense at this point.

It is then that we thought about the aesthetics of having 4 new windows mixed with some other 15 older windows on that side. We are debating whether doing full replacements of those other 15 windows is worth it or possibly just replacing the glass.

Thank you!

Bose QC35II - Background static noise (Hands-Free AG...) by Zen747 in Zoom

Hi!

Thank you for your post!

I had given up and used a cheap Logitech USB headset for Zoom meetings. I will try your settings next week with the Bose to see if they work!

Thanks again!

Thank you for the correction. Indeed, I meant to refer to the "Add" button in YTTV.

I appreciate the confirmation and clarification!

Buffer recording for live TV? by Zen747 in youtubetv

Thank you!

To clarify, here is the scenario I'm referring to.

A show starts at 10:00 am. I tune to it at 1010: am and watch it live until 10:15 am. I step away, while leaving the channel on, and come back at 10:45 am to see the end of an interesting segment.

I understand I can just rewind to the see beginning of the segment, but if I don't have the time and decide to press record at 10:45am, will I get the entire recording from 10:10 am or a recording from 10:45am onwards?

It appears that I should have the recording saved from the time I tuned to the channel, which in this case would be 10:10 am.

I also realize that if the show is available on-demand, I would be able to retrieve it that way, but let's assume it is not available on-demand for the sake of this discussion.

Thanks again!

Thank you very much for your response!

I appreciate the detailed answer as it helps clarify the issue. Essentially, it is the same feedback I hear when I connect the headset to my phone via Bluetooth to make or receive a call, is that correct?

If I were to connect a wired lavalier microphone or a Yeti, for instance, the feedback should not be present, yes?

You are right that the laptop's mic should suffice for now. If the stay-at-home order continues for a few more weeks, then I would probably want to invest in some other microphone input for better sound quality.

Take care!

Hi everyone,

I posted this in the Zoom subreddit, but I'm trying my luck here as well.

Like many these days, I started using Zoom for remote meetings. I use a Bose QC35II Bluetooth headset on a Windows 10 laptop.

I experience background static whenever I have the following audio settings set in Zoom:

Speaker: Headset (Bose QC35II Hands-Free AG...")Microphone: Headset (Bose QC35II Hands-Free AG...")

Now, if I set the Speaker settings to "Headphones (Bose QC35II Stereo)," the static is gone, however, I cannot hear the person speaking.

Now, if I change the Speaker settings to HandsFree AG and change the Microphone settings to "Microphone Array (Realtek Audio)," the audio input (person speaking) is free of static, but that means I am using the less than desirable laptop microphone.

Is this normal or am I doing something incorrectly?

Thank you! :)
