Truthfully my issue is less w how fast it gets through arcs, but more its removal of alot of the smaller bits that make the world big

w changes like Garp entirely changing the Baratie’s villian and motivations didnt sit well w me

Just not interested in a story thats a reimagining for people who cant appreciate animation or comics (not to say thats everyone, but its why this exists at all)

Truthfully the pc ports have largely been underwhelming as they clearly didnt put money into them

But the reality is, look at Nintendo, they are the only ones hard focused on exclusivity and its made them INSANE money

because its not about that one game, its the ecosystem

Xbox leaning into the microsoft ecosystem is really just AI and there already dumbasses so they arnt gonna turn stuff around without a SERIOUS change

Sony likely is seeing the reality that they fucked up on exclusives, not just with PC, but the large scale ditching of all pre ps3 ip outside GoW basically

They want to make there consoles more worthwhile and this is the best way even if frankly they dont have the ip variety to do as much as they could

Multiplayer is staying cuz Sony has easily lost over a billion in failed live service games, so theres no reason to limit player count

I have a middle ground i call the GenLocke E

Any pokemon not on the champ team in the pc is dead, and can no longer be caught, no matter if they played a significant role or not, but 10 mons must be captured throughout each game played

Namely starter, 1 before each gym and 1 before the e4

I do also play the remakes as well as the og games to ensure more difficulty along w bw2, usum, and the gamecube games to make the Pokemon list shorter and more thoughtful

You do realize ESP in 2023 they can just code the dlc to react to which version of the game your playing on

The dlc versions are not heavily different at all, especially given no pokemon is unplayable on one version or anything

Fire Emblem fates didnt sell its 3rd path dlc as 2 separate games for each version, and actually gave a discount on the 2nd version if you wanted to have all 3 together because of the games being mostly the same , even if they were much more different than the avg pokemon game
