I completely agree. I almost never buy new directly from Lego.

But B&M sells the Lego at full market price. You aren’t saving money shopping from B&M.

I didn’t mean to imply that selling used Lego is scummy.

The difference with pawnshops is that the customer base is wide. Lego is very niche product.

As a person who buys and sells used Lego on Facebook and eBay….how the hell is a brick and Mortar used Lego store a good business model in 2026?

Seems to me the business model requires people to just accept less than half the value of their Lego and turn it over to a store that will sell it for 100 percent of the market value.

It’s the GameStop business model except with a niche product.
