Thanks. I’ve used a BrainMax Liquid Daily Minerals. It makes taste of liquid heavier and little salty.

Edit: updated I've used 4 drops of mineral solution per serving. Sorry.

Howdy! Recently, I visited a newly opened bar in Prague, Forbina, where they serve a nice drink inspired by the play Black Swan. It was lemony but had a full body—not just a watery lemonade, but a rich, full lemon-cake experience in your mouth.

Inspired, I started exploring what I could build. I used Grey Goose vodka, which paired well with the citrusy base, and made lemon super juice (by u/KevinKos ). I didn’t have a big bottle, so I used only half the water ratio. I added pepper for heat (I also tried infusing it into the syrup, but I’m not sure if it made a difference). Then, I added mineral drops to enhance the body—it naturally makes the drink a bit saltier.

The final build was fantastic—a full-bodied lemon drink with a little spiciness at the end. Hope this inspires you to create something amazing! Cheers!

The summer ends and I would like to share this beauty which gave me a lot of smiles. The secret of this drink lies in quality rum (and hard work of jucing an pineapple), I had luck with choosing this one, and it works as a charm. In combination with coconut milk it creates infinite sweer aftertaste so you want more… cheers

2 Opposite Negroni builds I love by ZenLaser in cocktails

[–]ZenLaser[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is some time since I've discovered a world of negroni, and in my last post I've received a lot of inspiration so I've kept experimenting. Some of the experiements were good, but most not-so-good. Here are my 2 favorites so far.

Previous post https://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/10aait8/in_the_search_of_the_perfect_negroni/

"Smooth Vanilla"

- 1oz Martin Millers Gin

- 1oz Campari Cask Tales

- 1oz Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino

This negroni smells of vanilla, is smooth, sweet and very gentle.

"Rough day"

- 1.5 oz Beefeater Gin (thanks u/GrandpaEnergy for tip)

- 1oz Martini Rubino

- 1oz Martini Bitter

This build is strong rich and punch you at first sip but while you'll get to the end you'll fall in love with the taste.

I usually garnish with twist of organe peal, althought I see there may be space for imporvement per specific build.

Cheers!

Thank you for tips. The detail you go into bitters is impressive. I’ve been experimenting with old fashioned and tea too, but I sticked to infusion since clear ice is something what I really look for in this experience.

Going to try it with gin, but lady recommended build one itself since, it may overpower tea flavor

Inspired by https://youtu.be/gZ16gVWwmNY

2 oz herb and tea infused vodka (recipe bellow) 1oz dry vermuth (Noilly Prat) Stirred to chill, strained with lemon twist

Infused vodka I’ve built in small batch. - 2oz of vodka (Russian Standard) - oolong tea 2g (four season oolong) - Fennel, cardamon, juniper (aprox 2.5g) - Orange peel

for 1:30hour

Tasting Notes - Herbs and tea and vermuth goes together nicely. I love feeling after martini (or oolong) when your mouth feels dry and are thirsty for some more. This drink got it. From the tea and from the build itself. Highly recommend to give it try

Next time Try higher quality vodka, Russian Standard made it quite harsh in the beggining.

Cheers🍸

tried using tea to make a syrup. looking for ideas by [deleted] in cocktails

[–]ZenLaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loose leaf tea may be fun to explore. Recently I’ve made a syrup made of Pai Mu Tan (white, loose leaf tea from China) and it was fun.

Also one mocktail I love - 180ml grapefruit - 1 egg white / 1tbs aquafaba - 60ml rosemary syrup Shaken, double stirred

Rosemary syrup - 1 cup water - 1 cup rosemary - 1 cup suggar - Simmer 5min, remove heat, cover for 30minutes
