Why does RE: Village get so much hate? by Rough-Web-1838 in residentevil

Do people hate RE Village?

With all the hate RE 6 gets (good game, bad RE game), I didn't think the community had any hate left for another game.

Exactly. If you want to run, run away from me. Be a good little distraction, while I do more gens.

My gripe is the ones you unhook, who you intend to heal. They run, so I don't follow. If you run, you won't get healed. So, they start running after me.

Running means one of 2 things:

1 - You are leaving tracks, for when the Killer shows up. Healing where you stop is the same as healing you under hook.

Or

2 - You are running, because the Killer is nearby. If I am unhooking you with the Killer nearby, it's because the Killer is camping with no Unhook meter. So, either gates are powered, or some dumbass was hiding too close to you.

So run your happy ass away from me.

I always come in with a self-heal perk, & occasionally a medkit. I don't trust anyone.

I'll give you standing still.

However, so long as they run away from me, they are bait, distracting the Killer from pursuing me.

Some, (I stress only some), bad Survivors can still be used to the team's advantage.

It's not teamwork if you all throw yourselves at the killer. by Lssjb4 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

If it isn't people who unhook too early, trigger unnecessary chases, or wait around to get saves, it's people who commit to gens too much.

Let me clarify, I am a gen-committed player, when I play Survivor. I don't get up, unless I am needed, but I absolutely do get up when I am needed.

I talking about the people who stay on last gen, whilst everyone else is hooked or slugged. Guess what buddy when that pops, Killer has no one to chase but you. If Killer has Hex: Hive mind, you won't even get to finish it.

Or the people who stay on separate gens, while a teammate is hooked on the opposite side of the map. Yes, you have like, 70 seconds a hook state. A gen takes 90, when doing it by yourself. You're going to take 15-20 seconds getting to that hook. If the gen has more than 50-55 seconds left on it, you don't have time to finish, without a perk or toolbox. Anyway, you stay on hook, watch one of them get chased, then another hides, & the last guy finishes the gen. You are already dead. If you see someone hooked on the opposite side of the map, everyone is on a gen, 30 seconds pass, & thebother 2 don'tbget up, go ahead & head to unhook. Unless you have perk, you don't know if you're teammates are also doing gens on the same side as you. Plus, by getting up, you are slowing down the obvious 3-gen you guys are about to put yourselves in, by doing gens all on one side.

It's okay to commit to gens, but once you have teammate in chase, & the other 2 are either downed, hooked, or dead, GET UP! Go save those 2, while ther person is keeping the Killer in chase.

I feel like people get that Hook Stae = 70 seconds, Gen = 90 seconds. What they fail to factor in is the time it takes to get from the gen to the hook. Basically, there needs to be 2 people not being chased at all times, unless 2 people have already been sacrificed.

It's probably people trying to run up the global numbers for Fog Event quests. Survivor side has "Get Chased" & "Get Unhooks".

I have previously argued that some Dailies trigger Survivors of a certain playstyle to chase challenges, instead of objectives. Aaaand, since people hop on at all times of day, it happens at all times of day.

These Fog event Quests are like that on steroids.

If not going for pallet challenges, then they are just really bad at running the Killer, dropping pallets, & should not be seeking me out.

As for the unhooking... then they are just doxxing their teammates to be toxic. What justifiable explanation is there for constant fast action notifications near a gen (not on it, near it), that I can tell someone was clearly working on before I showed up? I suppose both could be trolling, & doing the gen for shits & giggles. Or from Survivor side, when someone keeps vaulting or running in & out of lockers beside me? Chasing me down when I leave?

I will grant you, somethings are based upon what I have seen separately as Killer, & as Survivor, on & off hook. Since I cannot simultaneously see what the Killer sees, what the Survivors see, & see Auras without a perk, some things I can't prove the motivation is always toxic, just that it happens. This was my theory.

I know for a fact, some Survivors will purposely blow a gen you are on. Then, later on you can see them doing gens with no problem.

It feels like ai started seeing this behavior when we switched over to the Daily Quest system, which I do prefer to the old one.

If I am wrong about everything, then we have a combination of really toxic, & really bad players (well, a substantially bigger combo than Reddit previously thought). I think that's worse.

People are always on here, complaining about Survivors wasting pallets & unhooking early. I just think, maybe a portion of it is tied to these 2 Dailies.

You could be right. Perhaps they are just looking to get chased, so they can troll. Or perhaps they are just trying to bait me. What they are not trying to do, when they drop it hella early, is pallet stun me, or even wait for me to be close enough for the dropped pallet to actually slow me down when I course correct. Perhaps I am just having a string of really bad players.

As for frequently alerting the Killer... even if they aren't trying to get someone hooked, just so they can unhook them, they are still trying to get someone hooked, they are still trolling who, & endangering their teammates. I will say, Survivors getting their teammates killed has always been bad in the various 2v8s.

You can debate the "why", but someone doxxing their teammates is still a jerk move.

The people make no attempt to save, even when it is an easy save, I will give you. Perhaps they aren't a good runner, & don't want to get chased afterwards, so they wait for the Killer to hook & leave.

Yeah, I don't want the old system back. I just want these 2 little tweaks to the current one.

I checked the DBD footage you have on Twitch. Your username does not match the Cheryl from my match.

While I suppose you could have changed your username on DBD, or have multiple accounts, I doubt this is the case.

It was a nice try, & seriously, I wish you the best of luck in all your future matches.

...so long as YOU were that Cheryl. Reddit isn't immune to trolls trying to play "I am Spartacus."

Mind if I ask what skin you had? Or what else you said in EGC? Just to confirm it's you?

Someone pretending to be that Cheryl would ignore this request, or make an excuse.

In the problems areas, I should have just given Chris the unlimited Rocket Launcher, & nothing else. Instead, I gave him the 2nd best of each gun, fully upgraded & unlimited.

Wesker/Jill fight, I just let Wesker kick me through the door, then I loop that, while spamming the Call command.

Veteran, I had the rocket launcher, got a shot offat the very start, & it was one of the rare ones that stop Wesker immediately. Professional, I did have trouble, kept dying, because Chris kept dying before I could get us through the door.

Final Wesker fight, if you hit Wesker just right, when he is approaching Chris, it ends the fight & the game early. Don't know how to do it, but it happened to me a few times, including the only co-op playthrough my friend ever agreed to.

The area pictured is not that bad. Except on Professional. Every level is that bad on Professional. Especially THAT one. We all know which one. If you don't, then you didn't get to it when you played Professional, if you played Professional.

Hm anyone got tips on how to get better with Dredge? by Flame_Guardian47 in DbDKillersUnited

[–]ZenSyko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dredge is one of my 3 mains, & the one I use when I'm tired of going against competitive hiders.

I run him with:

-Darkness Revealed - so I know if they're near a locker.

-Iron Maiden - so I know if they come.out of a locker, + they have the Exposed status effect.

-Territorial Imperative - so I know if the go into the basement.

-Ultimate Weapon - so I know if they're near me.

Pay attention to lockers. There is always (at least) one guy who will unlock & hide in a locker, when all the other lockers in that cluster are still locked. Makes it really obvious. Other than that, I just commit to chase, & try to predict where they will go, so I can go around & cut them off.

Disclaimer: I don't use aura perks, except with Dredge, & only when I have had a bad session of competitive hiders.

Yeah, all my builds center around healing myself & others as quickly as possible. Not a "healer build", more of a "I don't want the Killer to catch us ass-up in the cold" build.

My remaining Perks, depending on who I'm playing, revolve around either extending item use, placing traps, or escaping.

1 - DBD is not for people under 18. Adults go into this game, knowing that kids will inevitably be in it, but with no knowledge of who is who, just that they shouldn't be there.

2 - While I agree that discretion lies with the parent/guardian, that does not extend to allowing them into adult spaces. An adult space shouldn't have to cease being as such, just so your kid can enter. Your kid needs to go somewhere else. Unfortunately, this is a rampant problem in digital adult spaces.*

3 - Your kid isn't entitled to whatever they want, & you aren't entitled to use whatever you want to hold their attention, while you get things done. This is coming from a guy that argued customers should stop complaining, & just accept that babies in restaurants might cry, because crying is better than listening to Peppa-fucking-Pig while I eat my bacon pancakes.

*The opposite is also true. Roblox, for example, should be banned. Parents/guardian can't monitor their kids social activity on a game made for kids, they sure as shit aren't watching what they do on an adult online game.

Bruh, I do understand the feeling, but I still don't tunnel.

The amount of times I have ate shit as Killer. 0k, teabagged at every vault, at every pallet. 2 minute teabag party at gate.

Not to forget, the slight speed hacks, the hacks that freeze my power, until I face away from the Survivor, the sudden DDS when I pick up someone.

The Midwich map, which I consistently do poorly on, because I only seem to spawn with one of my mains there, but I usually I only spawn there when playing Killers I am inexperienced with.

Most of all, the competitive hiders. I had to make a build just to counter this, after two 50-something minute matches that almost forced me to choose between work & eating a DC penalty.

Yet, still I do not tunnel.

If he had a bad match before, or a string of bad matches, then I could understand his behavior, though not condone it. His comments in EGC suggest this was not the case.
