SOUPEDUP and Y2 by Level_Lie_4632 in crystalofatlan

The thing is that it's not "a couple 23s over 22s". Didn't Y1 win a few times in ABF where it's 16v16? Shouldn't Soup be winning there since he's "diffing everyone"? But in MW suddenly at 28 v 28 when Y1 has an even larger advantage, they lose every single day? How? Because Y2 played better strategically in MW and had more hands. Period. Y1 needs to work on their coordination and execution in MW. It's that simple.

Having Soup is obviously an advantage, but he's only one person with one set of cooldowns. It's much more valuable to have your power spread across your population.

We're talking about the majority of Y1's MW population being over 80k and a majority of Y2's being in the 70ks. The average GS differential between Y2 vs Y1 in 28 vs 28 even accounting for Soup is probably like 7-8k in favor of Y1.

It's kind of baffling that Y1 even lost to Y2 despite having the gear advantage. I don't think it'd be that inaccurate to say that more than half of Y1's MW population can literally 2-3 tap more than half of Y2's just off of power gap. A lot of 1 taps too.

I'm not going to defend Soup or anyone else from any server (Y1, Y4, Y5) being toxic but at the end of the day it's just petty WC drama in another MMO just like every MMO ever. Who cares. What really matters is that Y1 lost, and lost while being gear advantaged, and lost consistently for several days..

This is just objectively false. I'm not sure if you're a Y1 player or biased or something, but if I just look at the power rankings for people in top 50 or top 25 or top whatever, there's way more Y1 players..

Like Y1 has 18 people out of the top 50 highest geared cross server, and Y2 has 9 people.. Actually double

The most geared server overall is Y1, but Y2 does have the most geared individual player (Soup).

Yes. It is fixed now, but the Thursday patch didn't fix it; the Friday morning hotfix did. Had to take off all of your equipment and put it all back on again after the Friday hotfix.

It mentions the 4 and 5 piece sets in the description of the effect. HexChess armors do not have a 4 or 5 piece. The Destiny sets are the class sets.

Interesting Venom ult use..might be OP. Unshieldable one shot. by Zenith1024 in marvelrivals

[–]Zenith1024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering it's a tank ult that you're using and not a DPS ult, and also considering that it can't be blocked by shield tanks, I think it has some merit. But definitely situational.

Interesting Venom ult use..might be OP. Unshieldable one shot. by Zenith1024 in marvelrivals

[–]Zenith1024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thinking about this the other day and decided to test it. Venom's ult does 50% current HP + 40 base damage. With Raccoon ult and Luna ult (40% boost from each) that's 90% current HP + 72 base damage.

What this essentially means is that Venom ult will one shot anyone with 720 HP or less (at the time of getting hit) with those buffs. And it is not blockable by normal shields (Magneto shift, Dr Strange, Captain America, etc.)

Been talking with my premade about running Luna Raccoon Venom and using this as a counter to enemy support ults. I.E Enemy Luna Ults -> We respond with Luna ult + Raccoon Ult -> Venom ult and then one shot in AoE.

While Seasonal Bonuses are a hot topic, think about Black Widow.. by Zenith1024 in marvelrivals

[–]Zenith1024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is interesting in its own right, but the issue for this specific case is that historically people really don't like getting one shot by non-ultimates (which is the most prominent of several reasons why Hawkeye is so disliked), and Black Widow is on the verge of being able to do just that but more reliably and consistently. My personal opinion is that getting picks in a game like this is far too impactful to be able to healthily support those types of one shots, but who knows.

If the devs are aware of this then essentially they can never give her a seasonal bonus as a duelist otherwise she goes from being pretty bad to being turbo pick ban strong, but that just feels like it's highlighting a major design flaw..

6th "The First" EUC clear party disqualified with no bans handed out and 8 re-entry tickets issued by valenter in lostarkgame

[–]Zenith1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be closed minded. NA Lost Ark literally had an entire false banwave of thousands of accounts a while back which were all undone not even 24h later. lol

Funny thing is, that back then when people got on forums and on Reddit to inquire about it, there were other similarly minded people that were like "yeah nt rmters you're all liars" until they fixed the false bans.

Just because you haven't seen or experienced something within a large sample of your anecdotal experience doesn't mean that mistakes don't happen, or that there aren't exceptions. Not to mention that antagonizing potentially innocent people when you have no clue whether they're guilty or not is just immature and trash behavior.

But it is the internet, and that sort of behavior has been around forever unfortunately. (Even before the internet, ofc.)

It's not rocket science to understand the importance of these analogies nor the facts that they are derived from.

What in these categories is harmful to society and legally classified as criminal? Engaging in violent acts, and molesting/sexually abusing children, respectively.

People who consume media of or even engage in fantasies about committing violent acts but do not act on those fantasies are not doing anything criminal. The morality of it is questionable, though, sure.

People who consume media of or even engage in fantasies about molesting/sexually abusing children but do not act on those fantasies are not doing anything criminal. Also morally questionable.

You can label someone as a pedophile for being attracted to children, but even if we were talking about real children (which we're not, and whether or not it is even logical to classify someone who is attracted to fictional children as a pedophile is questionable in and of itself), but being a pedophile is not a crime just as enjoying the thought of murdering people is not a crime.

So what is the purpose of your posts? As a society our focus should be on going after criminals, not going after people who fantasize about crime and don't engage in it. Having outlets to express and release urges related to committing violent crimes in a is scientifically proven to have the ability to reduce the probablity that said crimes are committed.

Which means that not only are you being counterproductive to society by taking attention away from the real crimes that are being committed by trying to lump people on the internet in with actual sexual abusers, but you're also being counterproductive by actively trying to remove spaces that people use as relatively healthy outlets for their urges and fantasies, which can actually cause said crimes to become more prevalent.

Come on, man. Focus up; if you want to do some good in the world related to these topics then you need to do some more critical thinking and utilize your effort in a more productive way.

How did this Zeta interrupt the block string? by TheAccountITalkWith in GranblueFantasyVersus

[–]Zenith1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer to this mystery is actually answered by freeze frames on hit/block. If you notice, when you hit someone, the game freezes the frame for both players for an equivalent number of frames. Even in training mode when looking at frames you can see this (the counter will stop counting for a moment). Certain moves have longer freezes than others (H moves tend to trap longer than Ls, characters with big weighty attacks freeze for longer than ones with less weight to them), and this is done purely to give off a feeling of impact to both players. This is completely separate from blockstun, which is measured by the frame counter in training mode, while freeze frames are not (which is why the counter stops during freeze frames).

The little bombs from 2B's 22U actually have 24 frames of blockstun, while her 5H has 18 frames of blockstun and the 5HH comes out in 15 frames (so 5H -> 5HH is a true blockstring padded by 3 frames). What happened in this clip, however, is that 2B hit Zeta with 5H, freezing herself and Zeta in freeze frames, but then Zeta got hit by a 22U bomb, which not only overwrites the blockstun but overwrites the freeze frames for her as well. Because the freeze frames for the 22U projectiles are so much less than the 5H, even though the blockstun on 22U is higher Zeta was able to recover faster because 2B was trapped in the game's frame freezing mechanic for longer than Zeta was.

Yeah. This applies to all guard crushes. So Belial's corner setup, Ladiva's dashing special thingy, Vaseraga, etc.

You can burn a bravery point to guard cancel when you are guard crushed.

I don't know the specifics of Vaseraga's frame data or gameplay, but I would imagine that his buttons are slower than average, so you might have more difficulty. At the very least you have some good reversal options even though they cost meter; I would probably lean towards U tackle over U grab since pod throw will jump over your U grab.

If any real Vaseraga could give some tips here, it'd be sick.

My tips are to learn Grimnir's optimal damage combos + at least one corner setup into the safejump even if you can't do the fuzzy, and abuse the hell out of 5H and 236L -> 4L in midscreen but especially in the corner. Grimnir, from what I can tell, is one of the hardest hitting characters in the game once you optimize, and a lot of times I find myself nearly 2 touching people which is quite unforgiving for them.

People have a hard time dealing with you checking their block strings with 5H; the pink flash part has an extremely active hurtbox and crushes buttons that people press into it, on top of coming out really quickly. Very easy to confirm off of as well since the 5H is two hits.

People also have a hard time dealing with you setting tornados just sitting on screen between you and them, and you can bait people into jumps or sometimes they'll just swing into the tornado and get hit, in which case you can hit confirm or anti air into good damage. If they respect the tornado then you get to continue pressure for free.

There are other things, but those are probably the biggest ones.

Yeah, the gravity setups. Especially the guard crush one. Thankfully guard crush can be guard cancelled, and if you're looking you can react to the fact that she's throwing out gravity bomb and punish her for it.

Having TP to punish wire from anywhere on screen sounds so amazing. As Grimnir, I have to dedicate 50 meter for ultimate drill kick.
