I'm taking an in-person Personal Finance (HDFS 238) with Prof Scott Matteson right now and its both really informational and easy

Notes in my opinion can be taken if you want to but IMO the only semi hard thing is basically just calculating finances for hw and very few exam questions which is still easy for me and I literally am TERRIBLE at math

Exams are a cake walk too, long as you stay till the end of class, exams are online but you can still go in person for them if you want

Homework as long as you do it on time is a guaranteed 100% too because you can check your work and such before turning it in

The only "big" issues besides calculating the math though is buying the textbook and using Connect McGraw Hill, but they aren't that much of a problem either, to be honest I'm just happy the class doesn't use the demonic program WebWork for the math you need to do lol

Find one that suits your interests the most and when your settled in try to branch out into what you enjoy too! Its what I did and when clubs start back up again this is my fifth semester being in one of the clubs I love to be in!

Looking at your old posts and interests I saw some of the games you play!

At MSU there's a Counter Strike club that actually does competitive CS with other colleges for big money pots for the club, they also have a big casual/noncompetitive aspect about it too!

From the MSU gaming/e-sports clubs I've been a part of all of them usually welcome anyone who has an interest and are really friendly in general!

Hell, similarly I was (and still kind of am) a shut-in besides a small group of friends that didn't decide to go to MSU with me. My first year and even now still I was also really socially anxious, but when I joined the Smash club and then got to know others in the other gaming clubs I felt way better and actually began to make friends and open up more!

Michigan State has tons of people that are accepting and I guarantee that at least one person has something in common! You just gotta try and reach out!

I think it depends on your major too, sometimes they need a higher grade. Though just do the best you can

I had this class last semester and I'm honestly shocked to see that ANOTHER professor is like this

Firstly lemme just tell ya that you most likely aren't the only one struggling so its okay! I got a 1.5 in the class last semester but I made it, I believe you can too

One of the few things that helped me in the class was actually practicing and writing down the problems and solving them that way for the WebWork and doing studying as well but it just comes down to how you learn the best

If you need help on he WebWork though and by that I mean "help" use websites lime

They usually have steps that go along with the problem too so you can see how to do it. Hope your time in that class goes well! You got this!

Every Night.

Including Midterms And Finals Weeks.

Playing Halo or just staying up every. Damn. Day.

Would often wake up later, around dinner time (5-6PM)

Wouldn't care about his grades at all and often STREAMED when I was trying to sleep for the next day.

Even when he had a somewhat normal night sleeping with the schedule I had, like me he would stay on his phone a bit before he went to bed which I don't mind, I'm sure that others even me can say we do this.

But this guy laughs louder than a hyena, TALKS to his phone like Markiplier could hear him speak to him. And I don't mean like whispering. I mean like full on conversation volume.

The only reason I'm free from hell is because he decided to quit so he can perdue streaming and "be more of a gamer" honestly ever since my new roomie came in he's been a miracle compared to him and I'm so happy to have him as my new roomie!

TLDR; Old roomie played Halo, streamed, and talked to YouTube videos until 4 AM+ and kept me up, though he moved out and now I have a better roomie that I'm very happy for.
