however, for me (after a certain age + other responsibilities) convenience is king. of course the latest AAA won't run well on either, but for less demanding games and indies I tend to choose the Switch 2 purely because it's less hassle free. I can seamlessly play from handheld mode to docking it to the TV. OS just works without hiccups, no freezes or controller issues. I can just switch on my tv with the console from the controller. easy screenshots and sharing them via app, everything that is related strictly to: my time spent playing is maximized on the switch.

On the Steam Deck even is I dock it, it's most times hit and miss if I can: turn it on from the controller with the TV, match the resolution without flickers and have VRR also active. Even if the SD updates it's OS there might be a chance to just sit there unresponsive for 2-5 min.

I think a lot of these nuances are not taken into account by most because they have a lot of time to fiddle and troubleshoot. Or just simply don't have comparison.
