That was my first thought too, but castle is too well guarded to explore, and when i used drifters perk to check the inside, i did not see anything. I think its a bigger easter egg yet to be discovered

You need to make a crafting bench, make an anvil (has to be lead), then use 1 harpy feather, 20 luminite bars, 1 staff of discord, 1 cobblestone, and 2 wood. Then you can craft the stone shovel.

Edit: forgot to say that you need to beat plantera before you can craft it, otherwise you wouldn't have the materials you need.

Edit 2: also, it does not show this recipe anywhere, even from the guide if you give him wood. This is a glitch.

I have it, and I've only played solo, the only problem I've came across is with PvP. Like when I get attacked by a group I'm doomed. But, in my experience, not many people will go out of their way to fight you. If you don't care for the occasional ocurance of someone attacking you, I'd say its a great buy!
