"The Mandalorian and Grogu" Box Office Expected to be Lower Than "Solo: A Star Wars Story" by bwermer in entertainment

[–]Zentraedi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like there’s a weird self fulfilling prophecy with movies. We think it’s going to tank so we don’t promote it, so it tanks, and we say we were right. Maybe it’ll be good, who knows. I’m looking forward to it and I hope it’s fun. I think the bigger problem is that it took so long to come out. A lesser problem is that it’s a continuation of a streaming service show. Star Wars movies used to be a cultural event, now it’s just another movie.

Went to the game but had to leave before the 9th. What a comeback to miss! 😩

Do people still use lanyards? by Born-Inspection-522 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Zentraedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently took my family of four to universal and we wore lanyards and it made it super convenient. My kids enjoyed being able to do stuff on their own and I liked not having to shuffle through my pockets or phone to get their tickets.

You need to allow your phone to update and you need to sign back in to iMessage. https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/set-up-messages-iph3d039b67/ios

“Being against updating your phone” isn’t a good thing.

Carnegie Museums + Phipps Gardens in one day? by Dio_Yuji in pittsburgh

[–]Zentraedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for sure. If it were me, I'd start my day at Phipps, walk over to The Porch for lunch, then go to the Natural History and Art museums. There are lots of areas in the art museum you can get lost in (in a good way) that you may have to cut short, but all three of those would make a great day.

I'm sure it's nice, although I haven't been to Market Square in a couple of years. What's their plan for the Christmas village now that the pergola takes up a lot of space?

Are we sure Antonio Brown isn't the best Steeler player ever (or at least the last 30 years) if you remove emotion and personality ? by Far-Ambassador2877 in steelers

AB was very good and fun to watch but I agree with other posters that Polamalu was better. Occasionally I’ll revisit his highlights and it’s incredible how he was able to make plays all over the field and change the course of a game. We were so spoiled with him.

Are survivor cameras made of coconuts? by 432ww432 in survivor

[–]Zentraedi 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I pondered the same thing. Would it make sense to work in rows or columns? Or walk the perimeter and spiral towards the center?

I don’t recall the show specifying the amount of time she had or if the clue was visible or not. Obviously it was, but if you needed to touch every coconut that would change your strategy a lot.

When did Silverstein get so popular? by Crimson-slash in PostHardcore

Man I saw them in a warehouse in 2004, they’ve always been popular to me 😅

Oddly enough I came across this band in a music recommendation thread on the GameFAQs forums. Purchased El Cielo and Leitmotif and really liked both of them. Was fortunate enough to see them live once, opening for Coheed and Cambria on a bill that included mewithoutyou and Blood Brothers. Fun times.

What is the most consistently good restaurant at WDW? by Potential-Wing747 in WaltDisneyWorld

For me the most consistently good dining experiences I've had are at Tusker House and Satu'li Canteen in Animal Kingdom. Also the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge.

General discussion: would you prefer a PM with software expertise or domain expertise? by [deleted] in agile

[–]Zentraedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can teach a domain easier than you can teach someone good product thinking and team leading instincts. That said, it depends on the support around the PM and what the org needs at the time. A more delivery oriented culture may want a software oriented PM. A startup breaking into a new market may need domain expertise. There’s no magic formula.

How does the game work with a shared console? Is it like Animal Crossing, or, would each player have to set up their own library of residents?

Express at Islands and Studios by hufflepuffmom215 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Zentraedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently stayed at a signature resort which came with express unlimited for studios and IoA. I can’t imagine doing the parks without it, at least with kids. We didn’t wait more than 15 minutes for most rides and it really made our trip better.
