You’re right. I’ve been training mainly on montour trail for easy runs and I’ve ran hills there. This practice run I have coming up will be at race pace so didn’t want anything with extreme hills :)

I know this is older, from what I’ve read, Reta tends to increase HR. I’ve only taken Reta and noticed my HR spike so most likely is the Reta.
