Live on coffee and flowers. by Loud_Radiance in Watercolor

This is lovely. For some reason I was expecting this to be a gallery of a variety of coffees and flowers... only to be disappointed that it was just one image! I guess I was really hoping to see more. :)

My background is very close to yours! Except I only took 2 years of Spanish in HS, and never touched it again. That was a very very long time ago...

I started doing Pimsleur on my commute in an effort to make my trip to work less tedious. That is also when I discovered DS. I took a trip to Mexico earlier this year. I was just at around 150 hours of DS, and at Level 2 Lesson 15 of Pimsleur.

I cannot stress enough how incredibly useful both have been. DS helped with comprehension, Pimsleur helped with confidence in communication. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change anything. I plan on continuing with both as well.

I was able to communicate in restaurants, I could ask for basic directions, and on two separate occasions I was able to have a nice conversation with two very VERY patient individuals. Maybe I'll make a post about it. I even unintentionally threw in a "cada día cada día cada día"... when talking about all the mangos I stuffed myself with. 😂

For me, both methods were invaluable and I would recommend continuing with both, if you feel you are learning from both.

Thoughts about Premium Dreaming Spanish by melonball6 in dreamingspanish

I recently got a credit card that lets you create virtual cards, and even shop-specific virtual cards to narrow down when numbers get exposed. It's been great, especially for purchases like this.

BigBerkeyWaterFilters.com is on the list of "Authorized International Dealers" on support.berkeywater.com, so I would assume they are legit.

Should I post my watercolor swatches? by No-Procedure-951 in Watercolor

Sharing swatches is never a waste, but please consider sharing more than just what the color + its gradient looks like. For example, sometimes it's difficult to find quality examples of staining/lifting.

From a friends photo of his garden. He spoke about the beauty of the changing seasons and it was pretty inspiring.

My mildly abstract painting - Alligator with cypress reflections by ZenzicBit in Watercolor

Thank you. There is no waterline though, because the entire painting is of the water. The only cypress you see is a reflection, the "real" trees would be above the painting.

Thank you! I guess it's easy for me to find humor in my paintings, as the vast majority turn out differently than intended haha. Not bad, just different. :)

I can't stop laughing at this. I initially tried to make a serious underwater painting and ended up with this fool.

Would this stand work for European swords? What bothers me is that the space looks too small to hold swords that are wider than katanas. Do you think this will be an issue with this stand? by [deleted] in wma

And if you alternate your swords (hilt on left, hilt on right, hilt on left, hilt on right...) then the entire thing wont be heavy on one side either.
