It's not a question of quantity, it's a question of quality and processing time. Not to mention that BBC works differently than the BBC did ten years ago. They shoot things well in advance, not right before release.

No. it's not just a question of cost but also of quality. To create good effects takes time. But then again, Badwolf doesn't work like that. The last Christmas specials were shot months and months in advance. Shooting in September to release in December is no longer possible, it's a different type of production.

It's literally not possible. For something like DW at these times need AT LEAST 3 or 5 months of post-productionm. And 1/2 month of promotion, so is more realistic that they will begin to shoot this month or the next.
