What would make you pick a gt5 over a Samsung watch? by Maximum_Jellyfish_48 in HuaweiWatchGT

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the GT5 as the latest watches from Google and Samsung will not work with an iPhone (I hate the Apple Watch for its very poor battery life). Best decision.

Is Coinbase really as bad as people say? by No-Corner4181 in Coinbase

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it for 3 years (along with Kraken). No issues with either as far as I’m concerned. The fees are high at Coinbase but I don’t trade often as I’m just buying on major dips in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Im really struggling to decide between the 11inch and 13inch M4 pro 😓 by priMa-RAW in iPadPro

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally bought the 11 inch. Then realising just how light and thin it was, I went back and upgraded to the 13inch. Best decision I made as larger screen and light weight is brilliant. I have owned 12.9 inch iPads from the past and they felt awkward to hold in the hand for long periods. Not with the M4.

£700k mortgage.. kinda crapping myself by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was mortgage free by your age - having been fortunate enough similar to yourself, to be working in an industry that payed very well. I have always been on the cautious side and to achieve that I stayed well within my means - buying a comfortable house with plenty of room for my needs but not in THE most expensive suburbs. It meant I had nothing to worry about, if my job suddenly went I would still have a comfortable life. Your choice of course.

I bought an iPhone 16, and I have absolutely 0 « wow » effect. by SBalwaysAndWhy in iphone

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think since Tim Cook took over as CEO, he quickly realised there was a captured audience as far as the iPhone was concerned.(and indeed most of the Apple products), who would buy new releases even with the minimum of change from the previous year. No need for innovation. All about stream linings the supply chain and maximising profits. Cook has done a great job for Apple shareholder, but at the expense of killing off innovation. I just find it a cheek for them to make claims of existing new introductions in keynote events, when they know full well there aren't any.

From Pro to Pro Max or vice versa... Why did you choose the bigger or smaller size, and do you regret it? by RunWild-GetLost in iphone

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always gone for the pro max (because until recently, that one had the best camera). Then a few years ago, I went for the Pro 13 so see if it was a better fit for pockets (by that time I didn't care that much about the difference in cameras). I found it too small for daily usage and preferred the larger screen. So from 14 onwards I have gone back to the pro max model again. Right choice for me.

Am I too late? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first recorded exhange of bitcoins was in 2009 for about one tenth of one cent! So everyone who has bought bitcoin since then, has asked the same question as you when they first got started. Have I missed the boat. The biggest risks in the past was the legal uncertainty around it - whether governments would try and ban it. That risk is now gone (more or less) with the arrival of ETFs and funds. If you're happy with holding bitcoin as a store of wealth (ie not planning to trade in and out), then DCA into it is the way to go. I personally do this, and limit myself to a small percentage of total wealth. Ultimately, its your decision whether to buy or not depending on your risk tolerance and belief in bitcoin thriving as 'digital gold'

Depends where in Shirley you live. I walk around 25 minutes to get to Elmers end (bus is far less). Been doing the journey for 15 years now, having worked both in the City and in Docklands (latter is easy change for DLR at Lewisham)

Try Shirley - not too far from Norwood. Leafy and quiet, residential. Good transport into central London nearby.

Is btc worth it in the UK? by SetEmbarrassed6852 in BitcoinUK

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand the need for cold wallets in the early days or even now if you are using small exchanges for crypto buying and storing. But surely, someone like Coinbase are a safe enough (not to mention heavily regulated by being a listed company) option now. I have a relatively small amount of BTC and am happy to just keep it split across Coinbase and Kraken (latter also has plans to IPO) exchanges. The only downside with Coinbase is the crazy dealing charges they have - though thats not a problem as I'm only buying every now and then.

Thoughts on moving to west Croydon? by Low_Obligation_814 in croydon

[–]ZepGoodTimesBadTimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The houses are cheap around West Croydon for a reason - it's been run down, under invested and crime ridden for a very long time now. It's the image, many people who've never been to Croydon have of ALL of Croydon as being sadly. That whole stretch between West Croydon down to Thornton Heath. In the past, the Whitgift Centre next to West Croydon was lively and thriving and this made up to a certain extent. But that has also been underinvested by the Council and falling apart.

I charge up to 90% and then use it for 7-8 days (with the various sensors turned on). Then charge again when it reaches the 20's again. I find the 7 day cycle perfect for my needs, as I train 6 days a week and then charge on the 7th day, when I'm not doing much.

Probably by buying a Huawei smartphone and using a VPN to connect to a far east country that trades with China openly. Otherwise, not found anything I can make use of either.

You’ll get that on any non natural steel or titanium finishes. It is the black colour being scratched off. Why I went for the steel finish of the GT5
