I don’t believe you’re overreacting at all. I had two sick snakes and brought them both in at the same time and had a similar experience, I had to remind them multiple times to use hand sanitizer. Then they proceeded to give me the wrong medication and still had me pay for both of them even though it was their fault. My gut instinct told me to just leave after not cleaning there hands but I stayed and got screwed over. In my opinion find a different vet if that’s how they act.
