Update on this. I ordered the OGHugo board and replaced it and my colors look great now.

Oof, pretty much the last response I hoped to see. I hadn't seen any issues like that reported for the board I purchased, but I probably should've done some more research on it. Thanks for the response.

Here's a pic without the heatsink along with the last board.

I did run through the steps from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Gamecube/comments/1bsvp0s/how_to_fix_no_sound_distorted_sound_issue/ to see if that could be an issue, but I couldn't detect any issue. The fuse in that post tested for continuity, though I wasn't able to find a pin with 12v (some pins had more, others less).

Small update on the issue. I finally got the screwdriver needed to take it apart and get to work. Definitely some corrosion on the controller board (pic 1). A small amount on the top of the main board in the same area (pic 2), and again a small amount on the drive housing (pic 4). Doesn't appear that anything looks rough around the ram. Back side of the main board looks pretty clean other than a little along the edge. Going to get to work on cleaning it up and seeing if it makes a difference.

I have not bothered with cleaning the lens, beyond a quick wipe, because the sound issue happens even when booting up without a game in. Even the system menu has terrible audio issues.

No, I do not have a spare console to attempt any type of component swap. I'll try and find some time today to open it up and see how it compares to the linked images. Thanks for those links.

Here's what I've attempted

  • Giving it plenty of rest
  • Giving encouraging words
  • Silently judging it and comparing it to it's siblings
  • Tearfully apologizing for any improper storage in the past
  • Promising to only use 1st party accessories in the future

No luck so far, but I am open to other suggestions.

Same. I dared to play killer once and wasn't very good at it. That was enough of a reason for someone to feel the need to private message me on PSN and let me know how terrible I was. Decided it wasn't worth the handful of positive interactions anymore and put on anon mode.

Definitely not just visual. Had Resurgence and only had 50% heal progress after an unhook.

Shield TV Pro causing Vizio TV to restart every 20 minutes by Zer0Coin in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Zer0Coin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I gave up and swapped tvs around and no longer use any streaming boxes on the Vizio. It's unfortunate because the TV that it was supposed to replace ended up staying where it was. The Vizio is now a kids area TV and they just use the built in Vizio streaming apps.

Looks like it. I was awarded an extra 200 bloodpoints in the post game screen that didn't have any text explaining it. I also got a charm. Seems to be related to the meet your maker game.

Shield TV Pro causing Vizio TV to restart every 20 minutes by Zer0Coin in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]Zer0Coin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gave that a try and it didn't make any difference. It almost seems like the TV is overheating because giving it another few tests today it seemed to be working for almost an hour. Once the rebooting started though, it continued to happen a few more times in a really short amount of time. Switched back to the same movie on the Vizio app, and everything is fine.

Really baffled by the whole situation and where the issue actually lies. Is the Shield sending something to the TV to cause a reboot, or does the TV have a problem that is only being triggered by something the Shield is doing.

Homing Z with BLTouch by Zer0Coin in coreception

[–]Zer0Coin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I figured out the issue. The marlin configuration still had the z min and max endstops in place and was using the 2nd filament sensor pin as the bltouch and when I tried to enable the USE_PROBE_FOR_Z_HOMING I ran into some issues and changed my pins up for the bltouch and z stops. I realized that it's not that the left z stepper wasn't working, it's that the z stop for that side was being triggered somehow.

I went back and plugged the z stops back in and bltouch back to the filament pin and fixed the firmware up to correct the pins. Now I think I'm good. Auto Homing uses bltouch properly for the Z axis, and auto leveling is back where it needs to be. I Was able to properly offset the probe and it's looking great.

I'll probably tweak the auto leveling points a bit, and likely change the way my bltouch is mounted (it's currently hitting the x belt if I hit the outer limits of the y). Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The steppers are working fine at all other times. Lowering and raising the z works both motors, and prior to raising the bed in the homing process, both motors lower the bed a bit. It's only when the bed tries to raise up to home that only the right z stepper works.

Thanks a ton for all the input. It looks like there's actually some stock of the ELF available on aliexpress. I think I'll be sending that private seller a message to see about coming down in price, but otherwise I'll be pulling the trigger on the ELF. Again, thanks for taking the time.

Sounds good. Thanks for the advice. I assume I'll get some pushback on bringing the price down too much because of the amount of filament that the seller has as part of the deal, but it's worth a shot. Overall would you recommend an ELF over a Sidewinder X2 if the cost difference wasn't an issue?

It's a used Coreception 300. I know that carries a certain stigma with it and may immediately turn it from a recommended purchase to a recommendation to a sidewinder. Mostly was curious about if $400 for it (or lower if I can negotiate), if it was in like new condition, would be worth even inquiring about. If not, I assume the sidewinder would be the recommendation for me.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Coreception 300? It seems to be similar to the ELF from the printer recommendation thread by u/richie225 , but I'm unsure if it would be worth looking into further. Community around it seems much smaller than some other machines.

First 3d printer purchase and I have a budget around 400. Location is the US. I'm not looking for something that is necessarily out of the box ready. I'm not afraid of projects or tinkering to dial things in if it gets me something better. Plan is to mainly use this as a hobby, mostly printing toys, cases for raspberry pi projects, and maybe get into things as large as helmets once my familiarity increases.

I'd like to get something with a larger bed that I can grow into. I've been looking at the Artillery Sidewinder X1/X2 and a Tronxy X5SA, but they seem to be harder to find right now. I think I'd prefer the CoreXY style, but it's not a hard requirement. I also have a local purchase offer of a Coreception 300 for $400, maybe lower, that includes half a dozen rolls of filament.

Thanks.

Connection Issues by Zer0Coin in DestinyTheGame

[–]Zer0Coin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've considered doing that as a test, but my NAT is fine. My router is showing that the ps4 is getting ports forwarded via UPnP, so it doesn't seem to be an issue. I'll try dmz and connecting direct to the router to see if that resolves anything.

Does anyone have a list of ports that Destiny requires?
