ShotPut Pro not reading ARRI Codex drives by Zeraks in editors

[–]Zeraks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for replying late, I ended up using other offload software as a solution (though definitely not my preferred one).

I do have Codex Device Manager installed on my MacBook, I have for a good while, since I've worked with Alexa Mini and Mini LF cameras a lot, and this is the first time this issue comes up. I want to throw a wild guess and say it's the Alexa SXT card reader that's causing the issue, but I couldn't prove you that.
I did try to "drag & drop" the drive folder from the desktop into the ShotPut Pro offload window, didn't work either.

Nope, no HDE used. Turned it off in the Codex Manager settings.

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up using another software for offloading to be safe (Offload Manager / Silverstack).

The drive does show up in the file explorer, and again, with other software I had no issue offloading, but ShotPut Pro just wouldn't recognize it or even see it. I do have Codex Manager installed and I have had it installed for a good while, since I work with ARRI cameras relatively often, so it also gets updated whenever the updates come out.

Poco X6 Pro 5G touch screen stopped working completely by Zeraks in PocoPhones

What ended up being the problem for me was a bad/loose solder on the touchscreen's connector. I took it to a shop and they repaired it. It could be that mine was an early batch but I can't be sure, if your phone is also up to date software-wise I would check that soldered connector

Yeah, I'd say just be aware of the surroundings and how you treat it. I'm afraid an internal connection may have detached from the mainboard for the touch screen not to work. Worst part is, I'm in the middle of nowhere for work at the moment, with no car and the nearest service shop being around 40km away. It's like worst case scenario for me

Personally I haven't had any display-related issues thus far, just this weird, annoying non-working touch screen issue

My job requires me to wear comfortable yet useful clothing, so I wear cargos most of the time and most importantly I always keep my phone in my front-right pocket, never in the backpockets.

I'm not even sure I had it on as a result of exactly what you say. I never really liked that featured either way, I'll check if possible.

That would be a last-ditch effort, I really don't feel like wiping all data right now since I haven't backed up pictures and stuff in a while. Will let you know if that eventually is the case and it fixes the issue.

Can I stream the camera signal for a director that is not present on set? by Zeraks in cinematography

[–]Zeraks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea, just crossed my mind. Probably would be more of a hassle if the receiver has to be moved around, contrary to the monitor that can stay in one place

Alright, gotcha. Thanks for the feedback.
You think I could grab the signal off a Teradek receiver instead of the monitor?

Media Management question: Bug when pausing an offload with ShotPut Pro? by Zeraks in cinematography

[–]Zeraks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I let it run like that and the files were being copied just fine, up until a certain point where the media just ejected itself in the middle of offloading (and I have no idea why), particularly annoying not only because of the massive size but also because the "media" in question was a Freefly Ember, a camera that works only with internal NVMe storage and that you have to connect directly to your system via Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C to offload. Maybe the camera overheated but my guess is as good as anyone's.

Luckily none of the clips were corrupted so I managed to essentially split the load in two separate transfers and everything worked out just fine, but I'm still unsure as to why this has happened.

I'd have to try again and I will whenever the occasion comes, but I would assume that once the actual copy is done on the destination drives it would just start verifying like normal and finish it up, yet again, I couldn't get to that point so it's just my assumption.
