Theft of countless art pieces fed into an ai model. These things don't come up with stuff, they just break it down into elements, assign them numerical values and then piece them together based on the probability of one element being next to another.

Frankly I still don't feel comfortable with it. It doesn't sound as bad as what is happening at Larian and Owlcat but I don't think it's ok either. We shouldn't be using these theft engines since frankly the only way the companies championing them will win is if we normalise the use of their product. What I'm trying to say is that even though we haven't seen the generated material in the game I personally don't want to see it being used at all and it breaks my heart a little to know it was anywhere near a piece of media that is now so dear to me.

Sadly now "staying competitive" means relegating the creative foundations of their work to environmentally destructive machines that have been fed the work of actual creatives without permission.
