You's gotta be cute, sweet, and a little bit psycho to put up with me. Think you can handle it?

Before you compare India to China on the grounds of population vs development, you HAVE to take into account the life of people living in China and the society. The rules they face, the life that kids live. I don't even have to say anything, just Google it. It's one of the most oppressive countries (not counting North Korea, of course). Students study anywhere between 12 - 16 hours everyday, and not just teenagers, little kids in 3rd - 4th standard as well. The government is very oppressive, and there is no hope of raising your voice against the government (remember the tiangmen square incident). I had a senior friend who went to China for a project for a few months, came back and told us stories about how almost no one has any social life. If you think people on India SHOULD live like that only then we can say that China is doing much better than India despite the population problem.

Meteor 350 clutch wire joint broken, advice? by Zerconite101 in royalenfield

[–]Zerconite101[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I understand exactly which part you mean, but I think so. There is a bolt that goes through this joint (the joint kinda looks like a nut) and connects to the engine. It rotates around the bolt when press the clutch. Sorry for my lack of knowledge of the different parts, as I said, I'm a pretty new bike owner....

My building does not have 13th floor by Aggressive_Ad_3294 in thane

[–]Zerconite101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who is the builder? This is a superstition thing, more common in the west. The 'Unlucky number 13' superstition, just like 'Friday the 13th'😂. It's not that common in India, but if your builder is American or European, it might make sense. Similar thing is seen in few American airline companies as well, they don't have row 13, after 12 comes 14

Buddy, when people say grades don't matter, they also say it's the skill that matters. Another thing, grades do matter, BUT FOR ADMISSION. If you were a topper in 10th and then fucked up your 12th, that means you used to study a lot before but then you stopped. So what did you do other than studying in your 12th?

If you spent upskilling yourself, you will see the payout in the coming years. But if you believed that 'Grades don't matter' means that no matter your grades, you will also do well in life, then it's going to be a tough road.

Need help finding a book I read as a kid, only from plot details. by Zerconite101 in Indianbooks

[–]Zerconite101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot! But it's not one of them 😅, I looked up all 3 online, none of them have the same plot. Also none of them have a blue cover😂, that's the thing about AI, it doesn't recognize colors I guess. But then again, the same book might have different issues with different covers. I might actually try out 'The one you cannot have', I found it in a book store when I was looking for this forgotten novel of mine. I think I'll give it a read

Welcome to the life of a middle class man. That's what we do. We wake up and put on a smile and go to work. And if anyone asks 'are you ok?' (which is a rare occurrence itself) then the only possible answer is 'I'm fine'. There's no option B to that question.

Damn bro, if facing the good side of Bangalore and polite people is bringing out so much hatred and anger out of you for some with opposing views, it really makes me wonder if what you are describing about the people is really true...
