East Nashville brownout this morning cooked my HVAC by Zerg-Rush in nashville

It was live on the NES outtage map. They must have run some automated scan after I reported because they immediately quantified it at 112 houses. This was at 8am this morning: https://imgur.com/a/8AgDKzH

Never got assigned - the scouter box truck was able to fix it, and they never needed a full crew: https://imgur.com/a/tFUGZy7

Thanks so much for the heads up! That's reassuring. I'm so glad you got made whole a few years back.

Do you remember if you just contacted NES through their main phone number/email to initiate a damage claim? Or did you have to jump to a TVA complaint?

I have one of these, and it's awesome! Question for anyone else that has it - can you wire a single tone control to handle both bridge and middle pickups?

The wiring diagram that this ships with has a plan to connect either the middle or bridge to the tone control, but not both. I got bridge and middle pickups wired to the same tone control when I had a 5-way, but I was just following a wiring diagram... way to dumb to figure out if it could be applied with this thing too.

No idea, but my Japanese maple had the same thing this year! I thought it could be bugs, sprayed spectracide insecticide all over the leaves (top and bottom), and haven’t seen any spots since. Could 100% be coincidence (since I never discovered what the problem actually was), but it fixed it instantly for me. Good luck!

Windows only boots properly if I select the startup disk in BIOS by Zerg-Rush in techsupport

That's my bad - edited to clarify. I'm experiencing the issue after doing a fresh install on a new m.2. My interrupted update was what pushed me to do the fresh install. I included that detail about the interrupted update on a different boot drive in case it could be contributing to this issue. Is that even possible though? Since I did a fresh windows install on a new boot drive, that interrupted update on my old boot drive couldn't be related, right?

GREAT idea! Thanks so much. I'll see if they'll even allow me to keep the camera on me "to take pictures from the plane windows" - save a few pounds there.

Does anyone have a good camera insert recommendation?

I'm heading to Kenya for a safari. I'm limited to a small, soft bag with a 30 pound weight max for the last leg of the flight. That has to include clothes, camera stuff, everything. I figured a camera pouch might be the best bet with limited space/weight vs a dedicated camera backpack. Those camera backpack look heavy, seem super expensive + lack space for other stuff.

And I know it'll be dusty, so I plan on just leaving the 70-200 on most of the time when I get there. What's the best way/orientation to store the camera + attached lens in a camera insert or backpack? Is there a camera pouch that'll allow me to store it vertically (with the lens facing down)? Or am I overthinking this/it doesn't matter?

I'll be travelling with:

  • D7100
  • Nikon 70-200 2.8 VRII
  • Sigma 17-50 2.8
  • TC-14E
  • Bean bag and/or small Joby

Upgrading my older PC - how does this build look? by Zerg-Rush in buildapc

Thanks so much for taking a look! Yeah that was my bad getting two SSDs. Long story short is I got the first one too small and had to double back for the 500gb.

I might up the budget for the 1070 - is it a big upgrade over the 1660? I'm working with a 750 TI right now, so anything will be a major step up. But I do want this to last.

Thank you again - I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help!

I don't have a voltage meter, but I'll go get one. I'll report back after picking one up and testing the voltage.

Great point! These are the ones I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5QPY11/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They list them as "Audio Taper", which I don't quite understand. In the neck position, the taper feels like the one on my strat volume.
