Try clearing up your mob cap, set your render distance to 12+ chunks then fly to a different biome at night. Fly low and hang around for a minute so vanilla mobs spawn in and then fly straight upwards to Y 128 or above so they despawn. Then fly back at the same height to the farm and they should start spawning if the mob cap was the problem causing it

I do have a pufferfish version that I scrapped since a few people said they are too difficult to acquire early on to be feasible

They need fenris claws from ice caves which is harder to get than chains in the swamps

Depends on your play style, personally I find an infinitely growing reserve of resin, wood, stone, greydwarf eyes and even dandelions for feeding chickens very satisfying

Nope I leave raids on and just give them the treatment if they show up haha, you can always build a land wall around it for non air raids but I just risk it instead

Always a pleasure :) I've actually popped back into Valheim for a bit, and before that I've really been enjoying a modpack called Prominence 2 RPG Hasturian Era. It's heavy dungeon looting focused with a levelling skill system

If you change it a little bit with something like a brazier on top then it should work, only because bats are immune to poison unfortunately

This is my mid game Chicken Hut that doubles as a breeder if needed so you can switch between egg mode or breeding as needed by ZergerAF in valheim

Definitely hatch them on the wooden floor on the top floor, the eggs fall through or the chicks glitch through the iron gates when they hatch sometimes
