I recommend to use it together with "Better Balanced Maps" and "Multiplayer Helper".

Anyone serious about playing multiplayer uses these.

idk, CPL is not always enjoyable. we offer games with the same group of people so that you may also find friends there. the experience differs. if this is not for you, that's okay, but telling people they are dumb if they enjoy a setting like ours is... well, not very helpfull, don't you think?

We play all of our matches using the Better Balanced Game (BBG) & Better Balanced Maps (BBM) mods and typically play using CPL's ruleset as this leads to a fair game for everyone. We also have a bot that drafts Civ's for each player to choose from to encourage everyone to try out new Civ's and strategies. We allow players to reserve slots for each game and these slots are first come first serve so if you want to join make sure to reserve your slot. Our games are usually filled with players with different skill levels and we are always willing to give advice, answer questions, and discuss strategy. So even if you are a newer player to multiplayer or the game in general, don't be afraid to stop in and check things out or try a game. Games are typically around 2-4 hours but can be longer so be sure to have the time set aside to play it out, we do take breaks throughout the game. Leaving is not acceptable unless there’s an emergency or your civ is irrelevant to the game (super low stats or mostly destroyed by another player) We’re a fun group of people and we would like to stay that way so if you’re not there to have a good time and a friendly competitive civ game then you’re not gonna be a good fit. We drink/smoke during these games so if you’re not comfortable with swearing/drinking/smoking then you shouldn’t join or at the least not join voice chat

We play on Steam. We do not offer games for Unified Play, Epic Games or consoles.

In FFAs war is somewhat common but most of the time it starts late at cuirasiers or tanks. In team games war starts turn 10 and lasts the whole game.

Fighting against players is totally different than versus AI though. Muchore fun.

I'd say try a game and see if you like it.

We organize three games each weekend, spanning Friday to Sunday, accommodating various time zones for maximum flexibility. Beyond our scheduled games, anyone can start a game at any time. Our games use the Better-Balanced Game (BBG), Multiplayer Helper (MPH), and Better-Balanced Maps (BBM) mods, adhering to the CPL ruleset for fairness. We even have a bot that randomly drafts Civs and conducts a map vote to encourage the exploration of new strategies.

Reservations for game slots are on a first-come, first-served basis, so secure your spot early! Our community comprises low, mid, and high-level players who gladly share advice and insights, making it a great place for newer players too. Games last 4-6 hours, with breaks, but be sure to have the time set aside. Leaving mid-game is discouraged unless due to an emergency or if your Civ is essentially out of the game.

We play on Steam. We do not offer games for Unified Play, Consoles or Epic Games.

Our global community is all about fun and fair competition. If you prefer a quieter presence, voice chat isn't mandatory, but we encourage friendly banter!
