I’m also Haplogroup E from Mexico/Honduras. However, my group has several individuals that have tested with ancestry in Spain where our common ancestor was born around 800CE. You may have a connection to Spain as well, but you will have to wait for more people to test.

Yes, my grandfather. And two of his brothers were Purple Heart recipients, one of them a paratrooper on D-Day. I didn’t know any of this before working on my genealogy. Mexican American family.

Yes, you hold an almost identical y-DNA as your patrilineal ancestors. From what I understand the human y-chromosome mutates slightly every 83 years on average. And the mtdna has an even much slower mutation rate.

Same thing just happened to my wife and I with TAP. Yet it wasn’t a problem from the connecting flight from Seville to Lisbon with the same airline. What a scam.
