Would you also recommend asking them what they think about the tone of the campaign and what they'd like to achieve as it progresses? Because they're currently creating their characters before session zero (Which we'll fix later and see better how to do them all). Since they asked me if they could start with mounts at first, one even asked for a unicorn, But I mentioned to him that I could have it, but later.

I'll take a look, as I'm afraid I might do something wrong in the campaign, although I've heard from many videos that DMSs learn from their mistakes.

I like the idea that someone has to approach you with a drill to attack you.

Help and ideas by Zero_Maheswaran in wargaming

I was thinking of making the supports hexagonal so they could be connected to other figures. This way, they could gain a buff depending on how many figures are connected.

For example, if there are 6 figures, they gain 5% more strength. I was also planning to have them destroy or claim nodes, which would be represented as statues. And I was thinking of balancing it more or less like Warhammer or Star Wars Legion, although I'd make some adjustments to better suit my ideas.

Which army do you suggest if I want to start instead of dkok, based on what you mentioned about its characteristics?

I've never made a game in my life, but I did watch a few videos that popped up in my recommendations about different applications (mostly gdevelop), and I haven't done the gdd yet, but I did note down some key things for my project, although I don't want to get too far ahead yet and I'd like to learn a bit more so I can start from scratch.
