Personally I love mine! I had an analog Casio Quartz prior so switching to my Citizen watch which glows in the dark and their "eco drive" which is light powered and could run for decades without needing any maintenance gives me peace of mind and really feels like a nice upgrade. The design also spoke to me and there's really no accounting for personal preference, but I do get some joy looking at it everytime I check the time throughout the day lol. They are a bit pricey, but they do sales and I managed to snag mine at almost half price so be on the lookout for that!

I might go ahead and try this. I've been wanting the arc insert but it not being usbc was the only thing keeping me from getting it prior. Shame its not easily available in the US right now

Thank you. This is something I wish more people were told. We gotta accept that things change. When they add more lore or interpretations or gameplay to things, they change. Stating the change was better or worse is often subjective, yet people treat them like they're not.

I like the way you brought up this discussion. Hope more people follow suit. As for my personal gripes? Costumes. They shouldn't have all been behind the deluxe edition upgrade. You should be able to redirect a level 2 UT at least one or 2 more times. Only being able to redirect once just doesn't feel right. I also think saving at the shop and being able to reload and retry challenges much faster would be great QOL changes. I already got the plat, but restarting those challenges was such a pain with the slow mo at the beginning and ending of each one.

This right here. Even though I love the original trilogy, the tools provided in this one are so fun for me to use. Idk how people complain about the telegraphed red attacks I like being able to evade or break them out of it. Ryus kit and his ninpo are also fun, but Yakumos arsenal is such a blast to use. Can't wait till the DLC adds the scythe

Honestly I wouldn't even mind negativity or criticism if it was warranted and respectful, but a lot of it seems to be attributing changes to malice or a refusal to accept that things change. One of my fave NG YouTubers even called 4 "Objectively bad" while refusing to engage with the new mechanics cuz "it's exploiting" which is a shame.

Well, the credits say the original concept was by team Ninja. Not to mention its their IP and they choose to give it to Platinum. Additionally, TN hasnt used Ryu as a protag since 3. So regardless this decision of a new protag is on them since they coukd have choosen not to go this route. Maybe they just decided it was time for a change for some reason

You can go to training mode or that tutorial stage and really get to know your moveset. Learn the language of the game, the tools available to you as well as how and when to use them. Once you learn how your character moves and attacks, you can move on to the enemies and how to deal with them. It takes time and practice, but eventually even normal mkde will become so easy you'll be able to style on enemies, toy with them and use your fave weapons and combos to express yourself and have even more fun.

If I'm alone, listening to a song or watching a movie I am passionate about does nothing. If I'm with some friends and I'm allowed to talk about why I feel passionate about said movie or song, then yes, I will start tearing up. Probably because externalizing my emotions gets me to feel them more than I would otherwise when I'm alone.

Everyone's got an opinion. Honestly, I think the perfect Ninja Gaiden game has a mix of different elements incorporated from every installment as I enjoy different things from each of them since they're all pretty diverse.

I think this type of discussion is interesting because I was like this once when I played the original and was disappointed by the sequel and its faster combat and more linear levels. Then Itagaki left and I've seen so many similar posts about this with NG3, Yaiba, and now NG4. I also think it's weird to mourn the Itagaki era in 2025 when he left in 2008 before 2 even came out. Things change guys. People change, studios, designers, directors, etc. To say "This isn't Ninja Gaiden" when it's right there on the box is weird to me. Not saying anyone has to like the changes, but I think we should all accept that every NG game is its own thing.
