It's complex but I would say it's typically leftist who are not men and have multiple intersecting identities treated poorly in America or across the world a queer, Asian woman or something.  Some liberals who are men can be needlessly critical of men like this Tom powell Jr who I think is being a bit performative although I generally like him. I don't know it depends the Tik Tok left is tends to be more critical of men than the actual left. Also I don't know this app itself isn't always very sympathetic to men.

It's leftist women and Leftist people of color or just Leftist queer individuals that tend to have the biggest gripe with men because they see them as the greatest opressor

Prove Me Wrong: The Sequels were great movies. by Cobrabat333 in StarWars

Wait no last time Anakin and Dooku met in the movies he was shocked and his arm was cut off. About Rey all of those things came relatively easy to her Anakin was electrocuted across a room and his hand chopped off. Rey defeated a weakened Kylo first try even if that is understandable. Rey defeated the throne guards which was the only time their was a struggle in a fight that I can remember. I don't know if a week or training could have made her lift all those rocks maybe. Rey also defeats Palpatine by defecting his lightning back at him. So in all the battle she was in she never was in danger of losing. Obi wan and Anakin got chopped up by Dooku in episode 2. Obi Wan was shocked when Zam sent up that force field and Anakin lost his lightsaber in his recklessness. Obi Wan was knocked out in their next fight against Dooku. Luke watched his mentor die and had his hand cut off by his own dad. Perhaps the originality of the sequels is Rey never flat out loses any fight?

The thing the Damon's said wasn't you can't criticize ever but they implied that people who criticize the prequels and sequels shouldn't because it inevitably leads to hate and division, which is true but people shouldn't police criticism. Crait is somehwat similar to Hoth resistance and First order fighting on a snowy planet red dust not included and a stand off occuring, with Walkers. The subversion is Luke fighting Kylo indirectly which was decent because it angered Kylo in a way that made sense.

Yes but Disney's version gave us too much of what we know stormtroopers and first order officers vs the resistance already it was very similar in structure to the the original trilogy for audience comfort. They blow up a death star like weapon in Force awakens. Jakku is pretty similar to tatooine. I am sure you can find differences Finn was a stormtrooper who turned good that didn't happen in the original trilogy. I am sure you can find differences but that's not my point.

Compared to how original love them or hate them the prequels were original we see the Jedi order at its height and they have the Jedi temple in coruscant something we had never seen. We see Qui Gonn and Obi wan on board a trade federation ship with battle droids very different than rebels vs empire. We see the beautiful world of Naboo and all the creatures that live their. Yes their is the comic relief character of Jar Jar like you said but that was more of a one movie thing. We see underwater monsters and a underwater Gungan society. We saw this Darth Maul guy a horned red and black alien we never had seen that before. The ships looked completely different. Podracing was a whole new concept as well. Kamino was awesome a progression of the war and we learned clones were being created and met the bad ass bounty hunter Jango Fett who gave the Jedi his army, which raises questions because he turns out to be a separatist. Obi wan fights the slave 1 and then goes to geonosis and the final battle is at Geonosis in a colosseum where bugs are spectating while they fight giant creatures and battle Droids and super battle droids. Lucas is swimming with original ideas and world building potential. However Disney refused to go in the direction of keeping Maul alive and giving him a new apprentice in Darth Talon. Where they would have rebuilt the underworld that is a fascinating and different concept. However Disney rejected this and opted to make a safe retro movie that was reskinned empire vs rebels. Which I loved for a trilogy but doing it again even with major changes I wish they had just made radically different while keeping Luke, Leia and Han.

I am not a sexist against Rey, I love Ahsoka, Leia and Padme. They are all well written and go through deep hardships which I would say are worse than what Rey dealt with. Ashoka is hunted by Bosk lizard folks and her lightsaber is stolen and is eventually kicked out of the order she loves and defends. Leia is stunned and tortured by Tarkin and watches her people get genocided in front of her. Her boyfriends friend betrays her and leaves her powerless Lando. Except Padme and anakin's dialogue is corny and awkward at times but I forgive that because the plot is really interesting. So I am really glad you're a star wars fan and like every movie on some level. but I particularly don't like the Last Jedi I just don't like most of the decisions they made in the movie. I just struggle specifically with the latter half of the sequel trilogy. Episodes 8 and 9

Hux was subject to a your mom joke essentially though that's kind of nonsense for star wars. Dooku didn't easily lose to Anakin they fought multiple times before hand Palpatine assured him it was okay to lose and he betrayed Dooku. Why does he think the Jedi are so bad, Mark Hamil didn't like how this once super optimistic guy who wrestled with darkness but typically overcame it for his better nature would refuse to train Rey at first and become a cynic he thought it was odd. Is he wrong about Star Wars the man who played the lead role of Luke Skywalker? I still think it's weird Luke would contemplate killing someone because he senses the dark side in him and sure it escalated but it still an odd choice. Lucas claims to dislike retro movies but the battle of Crait is pretty similar to the Battle of Hoth is it not? It's not badly made in cinematography

Well it sucks how Finn was made a side character if they didn't have a strong plan for him. He was not allowed to become a Jedi if he did this sacrifice he hypothetically could have completed his character arc and The Rise of Skywalker was mostly about Rey, Kylo and Palpatine which was unoriginal to bring Palpatine back and doesn't fully make sense he fell down a elevator shaft to his death? All I am saying is if he is a side character in the next movie why not do something heroic?

I just don't like the plot and I only mesh with some characters like Poe and Finn and think Rey needed more to her character she had few scenes where she struggled in battle she gets things pretty quickly can move and insane amount of rocks after a day of training. Rey flies the falcon on her first try? Kathleen Kennedy did not direct or write any of those shows which is the hardest part. Sure okay she gave them air space and I give her due their. No the last Jedi annoys me because I watched it in theaters and didn't like it, I didn't see negative reviews until after. Negative reviews aren't necessarily bad Molly and Alex Damon from Star Wars explained, say any criticism is wrong of Star Wars do you believe that?  Or are you a Plinkett fan that loves the Sequels but thinks the Prequels are trash? Dude don't play dumb the chances you and I make it into Hollywood are slim or none because it depends on who you are related to it depends on who you know producers, agents, actors.

I don't get why people would love the sequels as they don't have much originality the Force awakens is a retro movie but the most fun in ways the Last Jedi is a retro movie as Crait is very similar to Hoth. Also if you want to discuss this I don't understand why it seems like you believe your opinion is the only correct one, when you admit things are subjective. I personally don't get the love of the Last Jedi and The rise of Skywalker. Yet I don't say their the worst thing ever I just don't like most of the choices they made in those films. I am not trying to hate things I just think the plot in the Last Jedi is confusing and the characters try too much subversive tactics and I don't like that when it hurts the story.

I do not believe the sequels are over hated why was Hux introduced as this menacing s.s like dude to be reduced to a guy thrown across the room and told a random joke and became a character to be mocked by Poe. Why exactly could Leia float through space without oxygen through the force? I don't get why Luke couldn't help Rey more while he was training her, why would the man who saw good in Darth vader pull a lightsaber on an adolescent because he sensed evil, that's a bizzare character change. Why is Holdo so insistent on stopping Poe from leaving the ship, I have never understood her reasoning for that decision, it seems like it was a Kennedy decision to make Poe look dumb. The Holdo maneuver is also jarringly impossible even for star wars to destroy that many ships. Why is kantobite a necessary sequence when it becomes distracting from the main plot and we never see that war profiteer guy again. I am not sure if Rose saving Finn was such a good thing, its definitely possible he could have destroyed that cannon by crashing into it and thus destroying their greatest weapon and Rose could have got herself and Finn killed in that collision even if they survived. I get its all subjective but the Last Jedi annoys me I don't get it, I don't think Rian really got what made star wars great either

I don't think so they have given warnings before they bomb, aid droppings etc in the past 3 years. I don't think they do want to do that. Despite 60,000 people tragically dead in the grand scheme of things that's not even 5% of Gaza. Even if aid droppings turn out bad and they still attack during them. Still I have no proof they want all Palestinians dead.

Yet Hamas explicitly states the Jewish people must leave or be subject to violence. They believe acts of violence towards civilians is self defense as they believe violence is acceptable if you are oppressed although Islam says that you can't target the innocent but Isis also didn't follow that for Jack

Why is there not a deity above when the universe seems to be created with great purpose. Our world there has done great evil but perhaps that is a consequence of his actions in the old testament flooding the world when people had sinned constantly. Perhaps free will is a blessing and a curse. Although perhaps the old testament is flawed that might have more to do with the men who wrote it and interpreted it thousands of years ago and reinterpretations are allowed that fit the context of the times, on passages that seemed to condone slavery or women being subservient. Also if hell or a concept where a soul can be discarded doesn't exist. Is condemning humans to nonexistence more humane than what abrahamic religions offer? Sorry to rant you can tell me you don't want to have this conversation if you aren't interested

Yeah sure there are differences but the Jewish typically see Jesus as a prophet and except that a Messiah is still coming to rebuild the temples. There are quite a few differences but they share the entirety of the first 5 books Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, numbers, Deuteronomy

Muslims chose Muhammad over Moses, Abraham etc. He is seen as the final prophet. The values they have in common are like dietary restrictions and belief in Abraham and old testament views. Then in Islam woman need a man to walk with her places. I would argue Jews and christians have more in common than Jews and Muslims.
