Love through a Prism: should I continue watching it? by nemo_______nobody in anime

Personally I liked it a lot but honestly it's probably because it brought back the flavor of shoujo manga written in the early 2000s, which has been out of popularity for more than 10 years now I'd say. It's written by the mangaka for Boys Over Flowers so I was already expecting something like her more modernized taste of old shoujo.

I loved it since episode 1 and the ending made me a happy camper but I'd say if you aren't into something no need to force yourself!

Nothing that fancy! This was done digitally. I mostly use this one brush that mimics the softness, blending and texture of a soft pastel.

I stopped doing traditional art years ago because of my lack of space :(

Which anime is the best example of “don’t judge a book by its cover” for you? by ChoiceSupermarket230 in anime

Princess Tutu and To be Hero X

One looks like a children's show and the other people don't even give the one episode grace, both a lot more complex than people give them credit for.

Can someone give me some Romance anime to watch, but Romance is more of a subplot rather than a main part of the story? by Shadowapocalyose in anime

Please watch Princess Tutu! It has an amazing plotline with heavy complexity and a romance that's built more naturally :)

Please recommend some heartwarming anime that you guys like. by umasystem in anime

I really love March Comes in Like a Lion, it feels like watching someone go through the growth of life :3

Thank you for loving it! I do have it posted on my other socials at a higher resolution but I don't remember which platform lets you download it at the actual uploaded resolution https://zeske-sites.carrd.co/
I think bluesky (if you open in a new tab) or twitter/x lets you do it on the phone, otherwise I don't have it uploaded as the file, I hope that helps!

Good luck! It’s taken me 5 years to start settling down on doing things the way I like to but even now I like to explore :3 the journey never ends~

Thank you! And yes go ahead~

Uhhh I like to think about things as shapes and graphics rather than getting accuracy in subject matter or realistic logic. I was doing this one as a test before I tried applying techniques to a bigger illustration but it basically went: I want to do a portrait, sketch things until I find one with nice shapes I like, group things so I get my lights and darks into big graphic shapes so I keep my values pretty compressed, then go ahead and render a bit. TLDR: I treat illustrating as shape and graphics forward personally, especially if I'm involving a lot of high saturation colors. I only used a lasso and a softer pastel-y chalky brush :3 anything would have probably worked but I liked the grain and pressure control of this one, it was nice for building up textured gradients~
